Another Monday Grrrr - but made a card!

Well its Monday and that means its another day for starting Chemotherapy :o( ... I've had a lovely week off from it and enjoyed being able to play with Poppy and not have to worry about eating at a certain time to take the dreaded pills. But enough of the depression! How about a card...
.
I've not really played around with male cards, simply because they are a right pain to make - well at least I think they are. Girl cards are sooo much easier. With male cards you have to think a little more, and to be fair, I dont do thinking - it hurts far too much...
So when I stumbled across Colour Create Challenge Blog - I thought I'd have a go at thier Orange, Green and Brown Challenge for week 13... As an optional extra we could make a male card. So I opted for a card that would suit my friends Son, who will be turning 3 soon. I've kept it simple, because even though he is only 2, coming up 3, he is an immaculate child. Doesnt like to be dirty and hates mess...
.
So... Using a Hangler & Stangler that I was kindly sent to me by a friend a wee while ago, but never got round to colouring him. I've used my Copics to colour him. The hanging charm was one I found in my stash - from where I have no idea.
.
The Papers I have used are all from Designer Extreme Vol I created by Donna over at Bearly Mine Crafts. As you may have seen on other posts - Donna is due to release a new set of discs, another backing paper cd (Designer Extreme Vol II) and a brand new inserts cd (Designer Inserts Extreme)... Pre-Orders are being taken now, and the discs are due for release on May 5th.
.
Well thats it from me... I am off to Looe for a couple of days with my boyfriend and baby girl for a couple of days. I will endevour to comment on everyones cards over at Colour Create who have taken part this week when I get back on Friday afternoon... Until then, have a lovely week, and I hope the weather stays very dry for everyone!!
.
Y Thanks for popping by! Y

Stamp Somethings - with Flowers or Showers!

Over at Stamp Something, the theme is 'Something with Flowers or Showers'. I chose Flowers.
My NEW Gorjuss Girl Set 2 arrived on Friday morning, but I have only been able to play with them today after mounting them on EZ Mount. They are fabulous! Even better than the first set, though not by much because set 1 is fabulous too!
I chose this little madam simply because she is soooooooo cute!
I love her dress with the hearts on and the way she is cocking her head to one side.

I stamped her with Memento Ink, and coloured her with Copics. Its my first time using the Inkssentials opaque pen and I'm not sure about it. I think I may have used to much...

Papers are all Bearly Mine Designs - from the CD Designer Extreme Vol I, (Vol II due for release on May 5th - Pre-Orders being taken now until May 4th.

Isn't she sweeeeeet!

Flowers are from Papermania silk collection and Petaloo Daisy Box (Hula I think it is) However they may not be recognosable as I've coloured them with Copics to fit my card better.

Bead/Spacers from stash as were the Brads.

This is another Gorjuss Girl from the set - I think she is sooo adorable! I'm just loving Set 2!! Again she has been coloured with Copics and inked with Memento.

I've never really 'dressed' the inside of a card, and I wanted to try it... I kept this one simple, because I thought there was enough going on on the front. I used my new nestabilities Labels Two.
I think overall this card was a treat to make, simply because I got to play with my new stamps and Nestabilities!
Thank you for popping by...
Y Really appreciate you taking time out to visit lil 'ole me! Y

Just Magnolia - Week 2 - Pink and Green

Over at the Just Magnolia Blog - The theme for this week is Pink and Green. What a challenge...
So here we have Tilda with a basket of flowers and doesn't she look sweet! I chose this image, as its versatile and could be used for spring or summer, and having Pink and Green together is very spring/summery!
I really enjoyed this challenge, simply because I dont often use Pink and Green as my colours of choice, so its been really nice to work with them.
Anyways - here's my recipe!
Coloured using Copic Ciao Pens
Pink and Green card from stash as are the eyelets and brad.

Paper Flowers by Papermania
Gems from stash, silver butterflies from e-bay

Thank you for popping by.. Its very late and I must get to bed he he...

Have a lovely weekend everyone!

Copic Colour Challenge - #10

Over at Copic Colour Challenge the colours chosen for this week are :

I only have one of these colours and the closest I can get to B02 was B00 and B05, and the closest I could get to RV34 was RV29... However, I enjoyed using B39 and trying to get some shade to it! What a challenge! Here we have a Sugar Nellie stamp by Elizabeth Bell, called 'Flowers' bought from Funky Kits

I decided to use the dark for her Jeans/Trousers and her Hat, because everywhere I go I see these stamps coloured with light blue jeans or a completely different colour altogether. Soooo Dark Jeans it was today for this young lady!

I used my stars corner punch for the two corners, and mounted onto dark blue leatherette style card I had in my scrap box

The flowers and brad are from my stash and the dangly gem I made using an eye pin and spacer beads I bought from e-bay

The blue fibre was also in my scrap box and I have no idea where I bought it from, but I am pleased that I could use it!

The sentiment is from my Penny Black Salutations set

Other papers used are from the Once Upon a Time Mat Stack by DCWV

I'm not completely sure I like this card, what I am sure of is that I will find a good home for it to go to!

Something a bit new to me! - Stamptactular Challenge Number 3

Over at Stamptacular Sunday Challenge Blog- the challenge was Black and White + ONE other colour! SOoooooo I chose Yellow. I had a canvas lying around (I think its 20x8 inches). I got my trusty old Acrylic paints out, splashed a blob of black on a plate and covered the lot. Not the plate that is, the canvas I covered hehe...I printed off some photos of my baby girl Poppy who will be 8months at the end of the month, and layered her onto black glitter card and plain white card both from my stash...

I then set about stamping out these cute little fellas - Elvin, Egbert and Trump. These cute chaps can be found at Bearly Mine Designs Shop - But you have to be quick. Donna put a post on there and she only as 10 sets left. When they're gone, they're gone!

So I inked up the Elves from Lumas Thorn (there is a really good story unravelling over at the Lumas Thorn Blog too if you're interested!) using my Memento Black Tuxedo Ink.

Egbert

Trump

Elvin

Coloured them using my copics.

I got out my bead kit and used some silver wire and twisted it around a pen and then attatched this silver star charm I bought on e-bay

I coloured my Papermania white flowers Black and Yellow and using Brads from my stash secured them on to the canvas.

The gem hanging from this flower was also from E-bay, the chain was an old fashion necklace I had lying around.
The smaller flowers are from my punches, half pearls from stash

In all this project took me about 3 hours to do and most of that was drying time of paint and glue.

New Challenge Blog Launch - Just Magnolia! Challenge One!

Just Magnolia Challenge Blog went 'LIVE' on Friday morning at 8am. I was tucked up in bed, nice and snug. I woke up and as soon as the PC was switched on I went to the blog. The first challenge is a Sketch by Donalda, and a lovely sketch at that!
Sooooo, I hear you ask why has it taken me nearly 48 hours to make a card? I answer you and say "I was all crafted out". I've only been back into crafting just over a month and well, this past week I've made several cards, and I believe my other half and baby were being neglected. So I had a break yesterday and most of Saturday, I should be tucked up in bed now seeing as it is 02:25am *shock*
Anyways - I digress... Here is the lovely Tilda -
Coloured with Copic Ciaos
Ribbon was a freebie with a magazine
Papers are K&Co Wild Saffron and Roam collections
Silk flowers from Papermania - again coloured with Copics as I has no deep purple/blue flowers
Brads from stash

Hanging chain and heart from an old fashion necklace I cut up, little 'made for you' charm from e-bay
Sentiment is an old stamp I had lying around - I have no idea where it is from though, but thought it would suit this wee Tilda as she is so versatile.
Right - Now with that said - I think I am going to go to bed!
Night Night xx

Creative Card Crew - Monochrome Madness - Challenge 6

I found a new Challenge Blog today :o) 'Creative Card Crew' and I couldnt stop by and not enter thier current challenge! Not only do they have a Stamp on offer for the winner, but also a 6 MONTH SPOT to be on thier DESIGN TEAM - how cool is that.. Even getting second prize would be great which is a 2 WEEK SPOT on thier Design team! Amazing or what?? Having already played around with a black and white card today, and having enjoyed it, I though why not give this one ago too! So let the madness, or should that me Monochrome Madness begin....
Ok - Rules - Black, White, Grey/Silver - Easy peasy... NOT!! I struggled with the other card, but not as much as this one as I had to use a different stamp, papers, etc...But I think I succeeded!
Using Gorjuss Girl 'Foxy', I have coloured her in with Copic Ciao Pens.
I have used Papers from DCWV Black and White stack
Black and White card from Stash

Flowers I believe are Papermania silk set, which I have coloured with Copic pens as I didnt have any Grey or Black flowers. The brad is from Papermania too.

Soooo - Two, sorry three cards today .. I think I need a lie down.. My my my ... look at the time. Its gone 1am. I better get my head down, I have an early riser who like to be up, fed and watered by 9am...

Coloured using Copics Ciao Pens
