In Style Stamps - Holiday Ornament Blog Hop!

*Stampin' for the Weekend DT Card - Please scroll down!*
Welcome to the InStyle Stamps November blog hop!

If you have arrived here from Mary's blog your on the right track!! If you've come from your Dashboard, or just fancied visiting me and wanna join in the hop - hurry on over to the In Style Stamp Blog :D

You've seen some gorgeous projects so far so I'd like to share mine with you.

I've cheated a little with this one. I was meant to have three to show you, but two of the chocolate icicles have been eaten *blush*

I'm getting really excited as Christmas draws near! Only 28 days to go! Can you believe it!

Here I've used Kimi - isnt she just beautiful. Her sparkly wings are glamour dusted and her pale pink dress is a combination of three copic pens in the lightest pastel shades I had in my collection!

The silver paper I found in my old craft box and used it to decorate an already packaged chocolate covered icicle (Not sure if thats what they are, but they are pointy and silver and reminded me of Icicles).

I wrapped some white funky fibre round the top to keep the paper in place, and then wrapped the whole icicle in a pale pink ribbon to make it more decorative.

I cut our the oval by hand and layered Kimi on top, leaving just her wings and halo on the bottom layer!

I hope you've had fun along the hop, only a couple more of us to see, and your next stop is Genevieve!

I hope you've left the Design Team some lovely comments along the way, when you've finished the hop, be sure to go back to the beginning and vote on which one of us has inspired you most, leaving your name and blog details with good old Mr Linky!

You've got until 11:59pm (EST) on Sunday November 29th to enter! The winners will be announced on the In Style Stamps Blog the day after!

Thank you so much for stopping by !

Stampin' for the Weekend - Colour Combination

Hello Stampin' Friends!!

I am so sorry to have been a bad blogger of late. I've recently just returned to work and having to juggle work with looking after Poppy and spending time with my gorgeous Man time is escaping me really quickly!!!

This week at Stampin' for the Weekend we'd like to see a colour combination of Lilac and Silver!
Now I know we set these challenges, but boy did I struggle!!

This week our lovely Fiona is going to be sponsoring us (She is just too kind!)
Here is what she is offering the lucky winner:

Thank you again Fiona :D Lots of hugs and get well soon!!

For my card I've used this cutie form the new Magnolia Under the Mistletoe collection! (wish the Winter Club Kit would hurry up and arrive so I can play!!!)

I've coloured her with Copics and then added some Glossy Accents by Ranger.

I've used plain card stock and stamped some snow flakes from the WoJ Winter kit (Which I've still not used yet)
 *shock horror and lots of blushing*

I hand drew the tag and cut it out carefully and then mounted my little Tilda on the Christmas Sack from last years collection. Added a ribbon for the middle of the card and another tiny bit of ribbon on the tag.

The gift card inside is for Waterstones (Actually spent it this morning on my gorgeous daughter - so will need a new one for this card hehe), and the stamped greeting is from a christmas set by Hot Off the Press!

We have two lovely guest designers with us this week - Lisa and Rosalien!! They've come up with some lovely ideas this week, so please do stop by and give em some love! The team is a little bare this week as we have a couple of members not feeling too good, so do visit them also, even if to just say hi!

Sketch time at Stampin' for the Weekend!

This weeks Challenge over at Stampin' for the Weekend has been set my the fabulous Nancy! She has put together this fantastic Sketch for us to follow.

Nancy is also sponsoring this challenge and she has this gorgeous little Motivet Stamp lined up for the Lucky Winner!!

Doraline and Dexter under the Mistletoe
Too cute!!

I've kept my card fairly simple. I had the majority of the card made up, but last night when I wanted to colour my image - my colourless blender ran out... I panicked and was ready to bow out of this challenge, however, a quick trip to the craft store saw me come away with another 4 copic pens including the blender lol

We've got two lovely Guest Designers this week - Rosalien and Trish - Please check out their blogs and find out what they've created and how!

I've used papers that I got last year some time. I don't know who they are by as the front of the pad is missing.

Added some lace and flowers from stash, sentiment is computer generated.

A little close up of Christmas Morning Tilda from the Christmas 09 Collection Jolly/Snowy

Thank you so much for stopping by, any comments you leave are appreciated!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Club Anime - Colour Challenge!

Hello

Over at Club Anime there is a fabulous Colour Challenge

The colours are Salmon/Coral, Kiwi Green and Brown

I've used little Myron for this challenge, I was going to use Christmas Tree Chick, but I think Poppy wanted me to try something different as when I got home from work yesterday the half finished card was screwed up, shredded and half if it (mainly the embellishments) in the toilet - Oh Joy!

I've used Copics to colour this cute chappie in, and My Minds Eye paper.

Sentiment and red gems are from Papermania!

If you would like the chance to win a $20 spending voucher to spend on InStyle Stamps, visit the Club Anime Blog and follow the full instructions. You will have a month to create something cute (20th December is the dead line)...

Have Fun!

The papers are from Papermania - I bought a Goody Bag a while back and the papers were inside, the card stock, lace and flowers are from my Stash.

Guest Designing for Copic Colour Challenge Today!

A little while ago, the Copic Colour Challenge Team, were looking for Guest Designers so I put my name down and here I am :D

I was meant to do a card in September but had to defer due to a bereavement :(

This weeks challenge is sponsored by Stamping Bella and Emily is offering $20 to spend on Stamping Bella products - How cool is that!!

But I'm here now and have had fun using these colours, they just scream Christmas at me!!

I bought and downloaded this cute CC Design called Nora the other day - She is one of the new November Releases! Isn't she sweet!

I obviously coloured her with copics, adding in a few other colours along the way for the shadowing and her hair.

I added some Glamour Mist for the snowflakes and around the bottoms of her boots, ooo and her sparkly wings too!

Just want to say thank you to the CCC Girls for asking me on board, and an extra thanks to Adele who's been emailing me when I've had any questions, and been very understanding of what happened in September when I lost my brother in a car accident - thanks hun! :)

Hope you can join in this week. Have fun and please, check out the CCC Design Team's work - I'm sure they've worked their socks off again this week!

Club Anime Sketch Challenge! DT Card

This months sketch for Club Anime is:

It was fun to work with, but I kept the card simple to show off Sandy from InStyle Stamps. I just think she is so sweet! Especially with her Glamour Dust on her hat, collar and cuffs!

A little close up!
Sandy has been coloured with Copics, sprinkled with Glamour Dust. I've added some flowers and ribbon with charm from my stash (which is getting bigger and bigger every day!)

Please check out the Club Anime Blog and play along!! The team have made some lovely cards.

Have fun

Exciting News!!

They say, that when one door closes, another opens!!

Well I would have to agree!

I've been picked to design for the fabulous In Style Stamps! I will be designing for Club Anime which is a learning curve for me - I've always liked the Anime Designs, but never took the plunge and made anything with them. The card below was my submission so I must have done something right - Was a real treat to do, and loved colouring her in! She's called Alyssa and can be found here!

I applied for this position a little while ago, after seeing a DT call out on SCS. After waiting patiently I received an email saying that the team would be in touch with the results - I never thought that the answer would be a YES! I am so excited!! I can not wait to get started!!

So... You can expect to see some fabulous cards and projects in the coming months using these gorgeous Anime stamps!

Please check out the website In Style Stamps and also the blogs for In Style Stamps and Club Anime!

The New DT for Nov - Jan are:

and also two guest designers for November and December are...

Linda Algodin

Angélique Nederpel

See you soon at In Style Stamps - Club Anime!

Speading the Love for Jaimie! xxx

Please scroll down for newer posts, this will be up top until 9th Nov!
Hello Crafters and thank you for visiting my blog today. If you have come here from your Dashboard and do not know anything about the Stamp Something for Jaimie Blog Hop, please click here and it will take you to the first person on the Hop!!

If you have come from Cindy's Blog - Stamps Paper and Ink, you are on the right Track!

As you know, its a special day today, even though there is a sad reason behind it, as today I hope, along with 60+ talented Stampers and Card Makers a like, will make a day in the life of 11 year old Jaimie Cates a more bearable one than the ones she has been leading since October 4th.

Why?, you might ask yourselves is Jaimie in need of cheering up and the love and attention of us all! I'll answer that question as her story must be heard!

On the night of the 4th October in the small state of New Hampshire, Jaimie and her Mum were brutally attacked by four teenagers. Jaimie was seriously injured and her mum sadly passed away as the injuries she sustained were fatal! (to read more, please visit here and here). If you would like to donate any money to help the Cates family, there is a website which is taking PayPal donations, if you click here, you will be taken to the site!

Jaimie Cates!
One Brave and Inspirational girl!

I have made a card which I hope Jaimie will receive real soon and its two of her favourite colours - Pink and Black! Great colour combo, I hope she likes it!

A little close up of this cute C.C. Designs Digi Image! I'm hoping that Jaimie likes her too!

Please show your support by visiting the Stamp Something for Jaimie Blog and see whats going on. There are over 60+ participants in the blog and I'm sure they would love to see you supporting the cause!

If you would like to send Jaimie a card yourself, please use this address here:

Any cards sent here will be forwarded onto Jaimie! I hope the many, many cards she receives puts a smile back on her face, and that she can at least peek at the future ahead of her as she its going to take a long time to recover and will forever morn her Mum!

Jaimie is a brave young lady and will need the love and support of her father, family and friends. I just hope that I can help out a little in getting her on the long road to recovery!

Its time for you to Hop to the next blog which is:

Thank you for reading and I hope the story has inspired you to create a card for Jaimie to send a little love her way. Please also take a minute to think of Jaimie's Father too, who lost his Wife too!

I've taken part in today's hop, as I lost my Brother in September this year and though it was a fatal car accident, NOTHING prepares you for the sudden loss of a loved one and the emotional strains and heartache you continue to feel afterwards. I just hope that Jaimie and her Father can look to the future as I am doing, and know that they will always have someone watching over them!

Thank you!

Stampin' for the Weekend - Festive Goodie Box!

Welcome to another week at Stampin' for the Weekend.

This week we've made it a little easier for you! Last week was a little tough having to deal with a colour combo and a song lyric! But thank you to everyone who participated!

This week our awesome and talented Vicki has given the Design Team the task of creating a box! However, this box must be a festive one, hence the title - Festive Goodie Box! With the added extra of distressing! (its one of Vicki's FAVORITE things to do - she loves anything tattered and torn!)

Vicki is also offering up this fabulous prize to ONE lucky winner!!

So... A Festive Goodie Box!

Well - here is mine!

I made a box using this template : here

Then I lined it with some material I had lying around. Its a very soft, almost like a crushed velvet feel to it, and I had a right old nightmare to get it to stick to the card!!

I used three of the Santa Stamps from WoJ and coloured them with Copics adding some Glamour Dust to the 'fluffy' bits of his hat!
I distressed the edges of the gold card, and added some gorgeous wrapping ribbon which I had from John Lewis from last year!

Here are some close ups of the Santas!

For your chance to win the above prize, head on over to Stampin' for the Weekend and have a look at the Design Teams Boxes... ALSO - we have two lovely Guest Designers this week.

Gry Heidi - its her last week with us folks, so be sure to send her some love, and the lovely young Benedicte who is taking after her Mum and has found Crafting a passion which she loves a lot!

Thanks for popping by!

Creative Card Crew and some Good News!!

Hello !!

Well I have some good news for a change! Yesterday I went for a Colonoscopy to see if my bowel was ok - this was a check up following my surgery and chemotherapy to make sure everything was fine and dandy and guess what - IT IS!! My bowel is looking very healthy be it that there is only half of it left haha... Now I just have to wait for my CT scan to make sure there are no further changes to my Liver!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Any hooooo - I made a card today and I am entering it into the Creative Card Crew Challenge which is Ribbons and Gems :D
I've used one Ribbon, and I've put some lovely green gems in the corners!
I've used Vivi from The Greetings Farm and I have fallen in love with this little chap.
He is so cute!
I have used My Minds Eye papers and coloured Vivi in with Copics. The little chocolate bar inspired the colouring of him, these little candy bars are Yummy - They have that Popping Candy in them and they are just a handy size to stick on a card haha!!
Thanks for popping by today!
