Lil Lolita's Ivy plays in a few challenges!

Argh!!!... There are just not enough hours in the day or week even!

Its been ages since I've been able to sit down and make a card. Even this one is a simple one which didn't take too long to do. More faffing with the hand held sewing machine than anything else caused me major time delays.

Anyways... I had to call in sick today at work. I hate doing it, but I couldn't breathe overnight, my throat felt constricted, I could hardly swallow and I kept getting hot flushes even though I was freezing cold. Been to the Drs who said I have a viral infection and have to ride it out!
I still feel like death warmed up, but Poppy went to bed early and I sat down at the PC put New Moon on, and switched off completely.

This is the first time I've inked this cutie up. I've had her in my stash since she was released by Kellie over at Tickled Pink Stamps. Her name is Ivy and she is from the first collection of Lil Lolita stamps and can be found here.

A close up of Ivy

I'm entering this card into a few challenges and they are

Friday Sketchers - Brilliant sketch by Jeanette this week
A Spoonful of Sugar - Anything Goes
Copic Creations 35- Shading ON or AROUND your image
ABC Challenge - D is for Distressing

I've used card and paper from stash - sorry I have no idea where or who it is by, they were all in a box of scraps.
Image I've coloured with Copics
Flowers by Wild Orchid Crafts which have been glamour misted and then dusted
Lace is from Quixotic Paperie
Stitched using a hand held machine (which is a pain in the bottom to use!)

MDUC, Stamp with Fun, ABC and Sketch Saturday!

I've made a card for my sister, who celebrates her birthday on the 15th February.
I've made the card with a few challenges in mind. I first saw the challenge over at
Magnolia Down Under which was Pink and Grey - Gorgeous combination, and I loved playing with the pinks and greys!

Stamp with Fun
have the challenge of hearts - well I'm hoping that I can use this card for the challenge as the gorgeous little
Ladybug Hearts Tilda has a staff with a heart and also donning a gorgeous head band (antennae) of little hearts too!

ABC Challenge
are asking for some New stash to be used, well the stamp on the front, the papers and the ladybug charm are all new!!

Sketch Saturday
have a beautiful sketch to follow which was so easy, and the team have flipped and turned, but I was happy with it the way it was. Except of course using an oval instead of the circle!!

My card then! ...

Stamps - Ladybug Hearts Tilda, Lazy Summer Tilda (Summer Kit) and Sentiment from Magnolia
Medium - Distress Re-Inkers - Black Soot, Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick, Antique Linen, Walnut Stain
Card and Papers - 300gsm Watercolour paper, Papermania papers and card.Embellishments - Ladybug charm from e-Bay, Gems from Vicki as a gift from Christmas, Flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts

Egbert meets ABC Challenge!!

Y Hello friends Y

I've been a bad blogger of late and not made many cards or been and hopped to you all, so I am deeply sorry for being absent... I'm hoping that after Thursday/Friday (my little Poppy's first birthday celebrations) I can get back to my favorite hobby!

I've created this card for Bearly Mine Designs! Donna has released a new set of papers which can be sent via e-Mail. I couldn't resist them, so I bought them this morning.

Here we have the new Country Collection Mini Set of Digital Papers. For £5 you get 56 papers, 11 inserts, 2 sheets of gorgeous tags in small and large, 4 sheets of flowers, 2 sheets of ticket greetings and 1 sheet of corners to cut out and stick on your cards! The best thing about the set, excluding the price which is fabulous, is they all match perfectly together!!

I've used some of the papers and an insert for the middle. The Mushroom House is from Bearly Mine Designs too and is a Digi Stamp and available to buy here... Also - a little while back, Donna also sold some Stamps of Elves. I had to buy them cos they are so cute!

The stamp used is Egbert!

If you want some light reading, you can find him and his friends here!

I've entered this card for the ABC challenge which is now on the letter B - and this week, B is for Buttons :D
I used my Copics to colour Egbert, and my Prisma Colours to colour the Mushroom House!

Thanks for popping by, hopefully I will come see you very soon :D

Patchwork Friends Donkey ~ My First Digi Image - on a Card!

Well today I have released my First Ever Digi Stamp... I'd like you to meet one of the Patchwork Friends Henry/Henrietta. I'm unsure if this is a gentleman or a lady Donkey.
I guess the image could be used as both, so I may have to give him/her a suitable name which will fit a boy or a girl. Or should I leave the image nameless? Ideas welcome!

Anyways. I've created this little chap using my Graphics Tablet. I drew him out in rough first then I perfected him this afternoon.

Up close photo of the Image

I am going to enter him into two challenges - ABC Challenge and also Digital Tuesday.

ABC this week are asking that you use two colours on your card. I have used mainly Pink and Grey (even for the image) and I hope I can get away with the light pinky peachy colour. I coloured him with my Copics, using pink and a gray outline. He kinda looks purple, but he is definitely a pinky gray colour :o)

Digital Tuesday are on a recycle mission this week and asking us to use up our scraps. The papers I've used are from a 12x12 card pad which the scraps have been sitting in my little scrap box for over a month now. So I think that covers that base.

I used some shiny gems and then I hand drew the sentiment, as I couldn't find my sentiment stamps (again).. I don't know what I've done with them. Knowing me, they've gone to the bin man :o(

Thank you for popping by.. If you would like to buy this little Donkey is is available here : Poppy Petals Shop.

Y Thank you for looking Y

ABC challenge - M

M is for Metallic... This is the theme for this weeks challenge over at abc challenge ! So I had to have a play as I haven't made a card in a few days!...

Here we have Cupcake Monkey, Half Way and All Done! - Digi Stamps created by Dustin Pike. Go visit his blog and take a peek - He has even more amazing images and you will love his Dragons and Bears!!!

I coloured these cheeky monkies using my copics, being very careful not to smudge the printer ink!

Here I have used a Silver Metal Leaf, brad and dangling charm (charm made by my own hand, if you like it, check out my shop at Poppy Petals Shop).

Here we have the second cheeky monkey - Half Way! He is adorable!

All papers printed from Donna's discs over at Bearly Mine Designs! Donna released her Volume II of Designer Extreme Backing papers, and also her NEW venture - Designer Inserts Extreme too! The inside of the card I used Inserts from the CD!

I can not believe how much Donna has managed to get on these disks, there are hundreds, on each disc and together they total over 1000! WOW .. Amazing!

This is the inside of the card, ready for someone (myself, as this card is ear marked already) to be signed and sent!

Thank you for popping by...
Catch you all soon, and enjoy the rest of your weekend!
