Lily of the Valley Cricketer - First time Inked!

I've had this stamp for a while, and just never had the chance to ink him up until now!
Look at that face full of concentration!

For my card I have used Bearly Mine Designs - Printable Papers from the 'For the Boys' set which can be found and bought here!
I've used my Star Nesties to cut out a few stars, sentiment is computer generated.
The image was coloured with Copics.

I'm entering this card into a few challenges:

I see a definite theme here lol
Thanks for stopping by, hope to catch you soon!

Snowboarding Birthday card - Say what now!

I was asked to make a Birthday card for a skier/snowboarder. This had me thinking for a while as to how to go about it and make a card not so Christmassy with a skier/snowboarder on it!

I did a Google search for an image and first started with Honey from All That Scraps, well I printed her too small when it came to putting her on the card, so I gave up with her and Google'd again, and Toby from The Greetings Farm came up. So off I toddled to TGF Central, bought him and downloaded him.

He looks not so very masculine in his purples, and hopefully will pass as a lady snowboarder lol

I've used Basic Grey Papers - Eskimo Kisses. Flowers from WOC, Sentiment stamp from Whimsy as is the die used to cut out the tickets.

I'm entering this card into two challenges

Thanks for stopping by, please leave a comment and I will strive to come visit you back!

Retro... Funky... Groovy!..

OooooooooTime for a card me thinks!

Over at the Kenny K's Krafy Girlz Challenge this week, the theme is LETS go RETRO!

I've not played along in many of the Kenny K's challenges, and have to admit its a shame cos all of the images are awesome. I have a fair few tucked away in a file on my pc, coloured a few, made cards with them but never blogged them as they've been tucked in envelopes and sent on their merry ways!

Well no more... I'm addicted to these girlz and boyz and you can guarantee that there is an image for what ever occasion you can be thinking of.

I've used 'All That' for this challenge, and I gave her some RETRO trousers.
I was tired of doing full colours so played around with the black copic and a the copic fine liner and hey preseto - she's got herself some funky ZEBRA pants!
I've used Basic Grey papers from the Lime Ricky pack which are just gorgeous!
Coloured the image with Copics and added some Spica Orange to her trainers to give a little sparkle.
The edge punch is MS and the sentiment is computer generated.

I'm entering this card into the following challenges:

********
I'm also entering this card into the DT call being held over on Donna's Blog who set up the challenge blog and helped Kenny get these awesome images to us!
Fingers crossed!

You can find Kenny K images here and you can find out all about the DT call here!

Stamp Something with a Kenny K image!

Well I've made a card hehe! Been a while, but I've sat down this evening after been out all day and thrown together a quickie. I've been to the cinema today to watch Eclipse - the third instalment of the Twilight Saga. I'm now counting down the months for Breaking Dawn. What an amazing film. I so want to go and see it again! I've read and reread the books and watched Twilight and New Moon over and over and I'm still undecided as to who's team I should be on - Team Edward or Team Jacob? I guess I'l sit on the fence a little longer - No harm eh?

I've babbled long enough - I guess I should show you my card.

I'm entering this into Stamp Something which is to use colours which can be found in your own country's flag - Well the Union Jack is Red, White and Blue. I know baseball is played in the U.S.A but if you go back in history the Americans adapted Baseball from our own game of Rounders - so in a round about way, baseball is English - kinda haha!
I'm sure you've seen some cards bobbing around Blog Land with images by Kenny K? If you you've not seen them can I direct you to Donna's blog here Donna and Kenny have been working together for sometime to bring the images to us all, and also starting up a challenge blog. The team has been picked (I didn't enter as I dont have the time for more DT's {Not that i'd of made it of course with amazing talent out there, esp after seeing the team which has been chosen}), and the challenges start on July 11th. You can find the challenge blog here and you can shop for the images here at Kenny K Downloads.

I've coloured him in copics and used NO patterned paper. The homerun sentiment is a rub'on which I found in The Works today for a really cheap price of .24p. The baseballs, stars, 'slugger' and the baseball bat were also rub'ons from the set  I've also used my star and labels Eight Nesties.

Copics
Skin: E50, E51, E00
Clothes: B23, B24, R27, C1

Hair/Baseball glove: E31, E35, E37

Ground/Shoes: C1, C5, W1, W3, W5, W7
Thanks for popping by

Stamp Something's Digi Week!

Its been a while since I sat and made a card for me... Its always been a card for someone or an occasion and I've made the card to suit that person. This time, I've sat and made a card for me. I feel when I make a card for me, they are more simplistic and I'm not sure if thats a good thing or not.

So I've made this card using one of Di's Digital Image and he can be found here, it's called 'Floppy Bunny Hugs' and he is so sweet, cuddling his wee wabbit! So cute.

I've used papers by Making Memories part of the Cosmopolitan Collection, added some Gingham ribbon and a few Pearl Brads. I coloured my bear and his bunny with Prisma Colour Pencils.
Its a simple card, but I think I like the way it turned out. Not too fussy.
I'm entering this card into Stamp Something's Challenge this week.
Its Digi Week and there are a handful of Digital Artists who are sponsoring this challenge - So... get your skates on, get a Digital Image printed and join in!

Thanks for stopping by!

The Lili of the Valley stamp is NEW as are the papers.
The Sausage image I drew myself.

Stamped Image Box for Papertake Weekly and Stamp Something

My good friend Donna posted on her blog the other day a box she made following a tutorial. The box she made was to store Stamped Images - So I had a look at the tutorial and had a go myself. The tutorial can be found here
I have used a bright blue card for the main part of the box, and white card for the accordion sides.
I've layered some Blueberry Hill papers onto a light blue Core'dinations card stock and distressed both edges and added some Vintage photo to give an aged effect.
I have used Lady Tilda and coloured her with Distress Inks.
This is the front view, I've created the 'Once Upon a Stamp' with the PC with the font Scriptina Pro.
I've used Prince Philip the Frog (small version) too and coloured him to match the papers with Distress Inks
Here is the Fairytale Snail (small version) which was in the Spring Kit
and last but not least - Lady Tilda.

I am entering this Stamped Image Box into two challenge as the title of my post would suggest

Papertake Weekly Challenge (Cutie Pie) - Keep it nice and cute!
and
Stamp Something (I'm hoping I can enter this box as its different from my card and I couldnt find anything to say I couldnt enter twice, if by chance a second entry is not allowed - please ignore my posting)

A card for Mum and some challenges!

This card is for my dear Mum for Mothers Day.
(I should really say Mam as I'm from Ooop Noooorth!)

I've kept it fairly simple, the only tricky bit was cutting the circle aperture.

My Minds Eye - Bloom and Grow papers

Flowers from Wild Orchid Craft
Gems and ribbon from stash
Image Rosie Posie from Lili of the Valley

I cut the aperture from the card stock first then the papers from MME, was a little tricky, but so happy with the outcome! Distressed the outside and around the image with my Queue Chalk Ink Pads. Image coloured with Distress Inks.
I'm entering this into a few challenge
A Spoon Full of Sugar - Spring is in the Air - Well Mothers Day is in the Spring and I think the colours fit perfectly!
Stamp Something - CUTE! - This little girl form Lili of the Valley is extremely cute! So sweet!

Soooo a little inspiration from little old me!

I started to make the card and then panicked when I realised that I hadn't made the ribbon a main embellishment. I was so stumped! I began playing with what I had left over from my Halloween Ribbons (Must buy more in preparation for next year!).

I have used Witch Lala and coloured her with Copics. I've given her some groovy green hair and funky green boots too! She looks ready for a party or a night of Trick and Treating!
Here are the Ribbons I've used to create a kind of flower! The cute button in the middle I've had for a while, but never had a use for.
And here is Lala close up!

Wow - So many lovely Christmas/Winter Themed cards and projects last week - Thank you all for playing along.

The theme this week at La-La Land Crafts is 'SPARKLE' - So get your glue and glitter out crafters and get messy :D

I'm keeping with the Christmas/Winter theme this week and I've used Candy Cane Clover! Isn't she sweet! I love her little booties! Added my Sparkle to the Candy Cane - Not sure if it would be very edible with all that glitter but it looks good, hehe!

I've coloured her with Copics, and used some Papermania Card stock and Paper Stack I had lying around from last year! Added a little Charm of a Candy Cane and a little bow I tied!

I am entering this card for two challenges:

Mojo Monday - A lovely Sketch which I enjoyed using, check out the challenge blog to see the sketch in full.

Stamp Something - Which was to add some BLING!! (Check our the corners and the Candy Cane!)

Stamp Somethings - with Flowers or Showers!

Over at Stamp Something, the theme is 'Something with Flowers or Showers'. I chose Flowers.
My NEW Gorjuss Girl Set 2 arrived on Friday morning, but I have only been able to play with them today after mounting them on EZ Mount. They are fabulous! Even better than the first set, though not by much because set 1 is fabulous too!
I chose this little madam simply because she is soooooooo cute!
I love her dress with the hearts on and the way she is cocking her head to one side.

I stamped her with Memento Ink, and coloured her with Copics. Its my first time using the Inkssentials opaque pen and I'm not sure about it. I think I may have used to much...

Papers are all Bearly Mine Designs - from the CD Designer Extreme Vol I, (Vol II due for release on May 5th - Pre-Orders being taken now until May 4th.

Isn't she sweeeeeet!

Flowers are from Papermania silk collection and Petaloo Daisy Box (Hula I think it is) However they may not be recognosable as I've coloured them with Copics to fit my card better.

Bead/Spacers from stash as were the Brads.

This is another Gorjuss Girl from the set - I think she is sooo adorable! I'm just loving Set 2!! Again she has been coloured with Copics and inked with Memento.

I've never really 'dressed' the inside of a card, and I wanted to try it... I kept this one simple, because I thought there was enough going on on the front. I used my new nestabilities Labels Two.
I think overall this card was a treat to make, simply because I got to play with my new stamps and Nestabilities!
Thank you for popping by...
Y Really appreciate you taking time out to visit lil 'ole me! Y
