Last Magnolia Down Under Guest Design Card & some challenges!

Oooo eck - I am so sorry I was watching the Eurovision Song Contest and I forgot to schedule a post. Nevermind... I'm here now, and big Congrats to Germany. I had my bet on them with the other half, he thought it was going to be Denmark and it was close there for a while...

Well its my last week guest designing for Magnolia Down Under Challenges and this week the theme is FLOWERS!
I've not gone MAD with flowers, just added some larger ones than I normally would and I have to say a big thanks to Donna for them, and the lace. She kindly sent me some at Easter and I've only just got round to using them - Thanks hun!
I've used Papermania's Rose Garden papers, and Core'dinations card stock for layering.
I coloured Tilda with Distress Inks and layered her dress. Not sure if the photos show you that.
I added some Glossy accent to her head band on the flowers to give them a little shimmer. I also glamour dusted her petticoat and the trim around her neck and sleeves.

Thanks so much for supporting my guest design time with Magnolia Down Under.. A HUGE thank you to Kellie for inviting me, and another thank you to the MDU Girls - You are an inspiration to us all who love our Maggies! Make sure you pop over to see what the team have created this week!

I'm entering this card into the following challenges:
Creative Card Crew: Pink and Green
Stampin' for the Weekend: Post Pals - Amelia Grace C
I would have been playing along with this challenge anyway, but having stepped down as owner and given the blog to Sandie and Jan who are doing a marvellous job I thought I'd better show my support. You have until this coming Friday to create a card for a child on the Post Pals site - a card or letter from yourselves would mean a lot to them.
Send a card to a child - Make them smile!

Stampin' for the Weekend - Getting to Know You and Sad News!

Good Morning everyone.

When I made the card for today I never envisioned the post I was going to write would be a sad one!

I've come to a decision to leave Stampin' for the Weekend as I've missed out so much on Poppys little life already due to the cancer, treatment and I am now looking at having more surgery in June to remove my Gall Bladder. I'm looking forward to June as I will be visiting my parents and I will get to meet my best mates little girl Abigail Eleanor too! (I'm waiting for the card to dry before I blog it).

Its been a rough and turbulent year and I feel that I need to sit down and craft for me. I have loved being on the Stampin' for the Weekend Team, but when Donna and I started it up, I never for the life of me thought it was going to take so much organising!

So I've stepped down and  the lovely Stampin' girls are going to take over from me! I see some changes happening and I know they will be for the better!

My card this week is based on the theme 'Getting to Know You!'
The Stampin' Girls and I would like to see you base your cards or projects on your all time favourite book - or one of your favourites!

The Sponsors this week are Michelle Perkett and Tracey from Spesch Designer Stamps

Michelle is offering the lucky winner a pack of her 12 greetings cards with her own art work on them and a choice of Digital Stamp.
Tracey is also sponsoring the challenge, and is offering some Digital Images from Spesch Designer Stamps.
Tracey is also one of our lovely talented Guest Designers this week, as is Fi. Its her second challenge with us at Stampin, and sadly her last. Its been fun having you aboard hun!

My card this week is as follows:

ALICE IN WONDERLAND!
I have loved this book from being very little. I've read it lots of times, but have lost my copy from when I was at school - I think I will have to buy a new one!
I've used Alice from Spesch Designer Stamps and coloured her with Copics.
The papers are from Papermania and are the black and white Capsule Collection.
I took some inspiration from the following pictures!

Thanks for popping by, and please do visit Stampin' for the Weekend - Actually take in the Teams Cards and Comment on them. After all they've worked so hard to bring you these comments, a little love wouldn't go amiss!

Stampin' for the Weekend DT - Its Nearly Easter

Well - I'm kinda back on track. I made this Easter Themed Project for Stampin' for the Weekend a little while ago when I got my delivery of last years Magnolia Easter stamps that I bought from the Magnolia Web shop.

This fortnights Sponsor is
Dulcie from Wild Rose Studio and she has kindly offered one lucky winner not one, but TWO stamps from the cute Milton Collection!
So onto my project -
The circular box was a gift with some cheese in it for Christmas. I left it to air a little as it was still smelling of feet - yuk - and didn't think I'd enjoy the chocolate tasting like cheese either!

I've used papers by We Are Memory Keepers - Jingle Jangle, Magnolia Tilda, and a Martha Stewart Heart Border Punch.

I used Distress Re-Inkers to colour the image, and cut her out using the Deckled Edge labels die in the Cuttlebug

Another view of some gorgeous naughties!! I have to admit, they are no longer in the box - just lots of foil and wrappers hehe
Our Guest Designer this week is Heather - Who has used a gorgeous House Mouse stamp - so pop on over and have a looksie!

Don't forget to visit the team blogs too, all can be found in my side bar, and on the Stampin' for the Weekend Blog. The girls take a lot of time out of their heavy schedules of being a mummy, wife, girlfriend, housework (which I'm sure they wont begrudge), and even when they've finished a day of work, they all make time out to leave you wonderful comments - so leaving them a little love would be nice!

I have used some gorgeous papers I received in a Secret Santa pressie called Lemonade which is by Basic Grey. The sentiment is also a Magnolia Stamp.

I have popped this little cutie on the inside too so the inside isn't bare and boring! She sits on a strip of paper which goes along the inside length of the card, just below where you'd write your message

Stampin' for the Weekend - DT Calendar!

Hello!
Sorry for being a bad blogger. My Mojo has GONE! I forced myself to colour in these new Magnolia Images from the Winter Kit the other night. My heart just was not in it, which has resulted in poor photos too!

This weeks challenge at Stampin' for the Weekend, we'd like to see a Calendar of Sorts!

I bought this K&Co calendar kit a while back and its only just been looked at again. I decorated the front as per instructions, but the inside I will finish decorating to my liking! Something to keep me occupied over the Christmas holidays!

Front Page

My Page for February

Stampin' for the Weekend - Colour Combination

Hello Stampin' Friends!!

I am so sorry to have been a bad blogger of late. I've recently just returned to work and having to juggle work with looking after Poppy and spending time with my gorgeous Man time is escaping me really quickly!!!

This week at Stampin' for the Weekend we'd like to see a colour combination of Lilac and Silver!
Now I know we set these challenges, but boy did I struggle!!

This week our lovely Fiona is going to be sponsoring us (She is just too kind!)
Here is what she is offering the lucky winner:

Thank you again Fiona :D Lots of hugs and get well soon!!

For my card I've used this cutie form the new Magnolia Under the Mistletoe collection! (wish the Winter Club Kit would hurry up and arrive so I can play!!!)

I've coloured her with Copics and then added some Glossy Accents by Ranger.

I've used plain card stock and stamped some snow flakes from the WoJ Winter kit (Which I've still not used yet)
*shock horror and lots of blushing*

I hand drew the tag and cut it out carefully and then mounted my little Tilda on the Christmas Sack from last years collection. Added a ribbon for the middle of the card and another tiny bit of ribbon on the tag.

The gift card inside is for Waterstones (Actually spent it this morning on my gorgeous daughter - so will need a new one for this card hehe), and the stamped greeting is from a christmas set by Hot Off the Press!

We have two lovely guest designers with us this week - Lisa and Rosalien!! They've come up with some lovely ideas this week, so please do stop by and give em some love! The team is a little bare this week as we have a couple of members not feeling too good, so do visit them also, even if to just say hi!

Sketch time at Stampin' for the Weekend!

This weeks Challenge over at Stampin' for the Weekend has been set my the fabulous Nancy! She has put together this fantastic Sketch for us to follow.

Nancy is also sponsoring this challenge and she has this gorgeous little Motivet Stamp lined up for the Lucky Winner!!

Doraline and Dexter under the Mistletoe
Too cute!!

I've kept my card fairly simple. I had the majority of the card made up, but last night when I wanted to colour my image - my colourless blender ran out... I panicked and was ready to bow out of this challenge, however, a quick trip to the craft store saw me come away with another 4 copic pens including the blender lol

We've got two lovely Guest Designers this week - Rosalien and Trish - Please check out their blogs and find out what they've created and how!

I've used papers that I got last year some time. I don't know who they are by as the front of the pad is missing.

Added some lace and flowers from stash, sentiment is computer generated.

A little close up of Christmas Morning Tilda from the Christmas 09 Collection Jolly/Snowy

Thank you so much for stopping by, any comments you leave are appreciated!

Have a wonderful weekend!
