As you will know, I am on the Bearly Mine Design Team, for the fabulous Backing Paper discs that Donna of Bearly Mine Designs produces.
So, to show case Donna's fabulous papers I set to work on a little project!
Here it is! I have made a little box (well 6x6x1 in dimensions { I got the inspiration from my Teamie Claire, as she did a similar project late last month}). I have used papers from Designer Extreme Vol II on the lid, and will be using some inside and on the cards I will do to match, (I will be making these over the next couple of weeks and will partner them up with this box at the end of the month for you to see so watch this space).
I used 300gsm card stock in sky blue. I then measured and scored out the sizes I needed. I started off with a 15in x 8in piece and the scored a 1in border around the card, and then scored at 7in and 8in mark. Then it was time to stick together.
I printed out some of the Papers from Designer Extreme Vol II in the Teal collection and mounted them on Gemstone card (papermania), I used my Square Scallop Nesties to cut out the smaller squares.
I used some funky ribbon from Poppicrafts, buttons from stash, and those gorgeous flowers and leaves are from Fred She Said, one of their many Digital Downloads, then I added some blue branch leaves from my L-Em Punch!
I will be posting later on this month some cards I will put with this box. I have a friend who has inspired the colours, so I hope she will like it when I give it to her!
Thank for looking!
Y

Wow Kim, that is an amazing box you've created to hold cards in, love how you have decorated the top of it with the Fred She Said flowers too, and you definitely chose the right papers for it all, it's perfectly color co-ordinated and I love the four buttons in the corners. You've done a super job on it and I'm sure your friend that receives it will love it too.
hugs
Donna xx
