Spesch Designer Stamps Blog Hop!

Welcome to Spesch Designer Stamps first blog hop.
Today we are going to be showing you 6 new stamps which are going to be ready for release soon!

Kei is a charming young lady who is so pretty and loves her butterflies. As you will see on the hop as you go round. If you came to me from Kaylou you are on the right track. However, if you've come here from your dash board, or just stumbled across my blog, head on over to Spesch Stamps Blog and start the hop from scratch!

Below I have used Kei with Butterfly Balloon!
Isn't she adorable.
Kei, like I said above loves butterflies and I reckon this little beauty was a very lucky girl to get this beautiful shaped balloon from a party she's been to!

Here she is all pretty in blue!

Image coloured with Prisma Colour Pencils and blended with odourless White Spirit
I have used K&Co papers - Hopscotch, with backing card by papermania
Brads are from stash as are the beads on the Pearled Head pins. I glued them in place.

Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts with the leaves and the small pearl spray.

Kei with Butterfly Balloon
The little highlight on the butterfly balloon and butterfly hair accessory was created by Smooch Pearl Accent Ink - It shows up really 'BULKY' on the photo, but on the card IRL its lovely and very subtle.

Thank you for popping by, don't forget to leave comments on everyone who is showing a card today in the Blog Hop for Spesch Designer Stamps to be in with a chance to win the entire Kei Collection - Thats 6 gorgeous digital image!

Your next stop is Poala

Good Luck and Have Fun!

Sketch Saturday

My Mojo has gone on a walkabout. I've managed to get a card made, I'm happy with it (ish ish). I LOVE the image, and the layout, but I dunno. Maybe it needs more? Flowers maybe? I dunno... lol

I've made this card using the Sketch over at Sketch Saturday
Its a nice easy one this week, which is why I had so much trouble using it ha ha.

This gorgeously cute image is from Di's Digi Downloads! Its called Sharing a Birthday Note!
I LOVE him. I'm not one to usually go for cats but awe - bless... I love the kitten looking over his shoulder! So Sweet!

The papers are Papermania and are called Rose Garden and are beautiful.
I bought TWO packs, one to keep and one to use lol!
How sad is that!
I know I will use both sets.
Just wish they did more than two of each in a set! The sentiment is also part of the Rose Garden collection, and I've added Glossy Accents to give it a nice raised effect.
Gems are from Stash, and I used the MS Butterfly punch for the inside of the easel card.

And here is a little close up of Di's Image! coloured with Copics.
Also used Glossy Accents here to give their noses a shine, and added some to the candle, heart wax on envelope and the ribbon on the pressie!

Thank you for popping by!

Rach's Candy - Celebrating the launch of her new blog!

If you remember, a little while ago, Blog Land lost a lovely crafter who decided it was time to have a break. I missed visiting her and seeing her wonderful WoJ and Mo Manning creations to name a couple. The things this lady can do with Copics well - I'm in awe. This lovely lady came back to Blog Land a little while ago and Yey - All the better for Bloggers who Craft!

I'm of course talking of Rach! If you've not been to her new blog yet - have a peek - its amazing.. I think EVERY paper crafter will be jealous of her craft room! Its gorgeous and full of stuff I'd love to get my hands on but can only Dream!

Rach is offering the candy below

Rach somehow - managed to get her crafty mitts on a second Hanglar Stanglar Set of Stamps... I cant believe that the candy includes these elusive stamps. Plus some gorgeous Tim Holtz Idea-ology papers - They look amazing!

Stampin' for the Weekend - Getting to Know You and Sad News!

Good Morning everyone.

When I made the card for today I never envisioned the post I was going to write would be a sad one!

I've come to a decision to leave Stampin' for the Weekend as I've missed out so much on Poppys little life already due to the cancer, treatment and I am now looking at having more surgery in June to remove my Gall Bladder. I'm looking forward to June as I will be visiting my parents and I will get to meet my best mates little girl Abigail Eleanor too! (I'm waiting for the card to dry before I blog it).

Its been a rough and turbulent year and I feel that I need to sit down and craft for me. I have loved being on the Stampin' for the Weekend Team, but when Donna and I started it up, I never for the life of me thought it was going to take so much organising!

So I've stepped down and  the lovely Stampin' girls are going to take over from me! I see some changes happening and I know they will be for the better!

My card this week is based on the theme 'Getting to Know You!'
The Stampin' Girls and I would like to see you base your cards or projects on your all time favourite book - or one of your favourites!

The Sponsors this week are Michelle Perkett and Tracey from Spesch Designer Stamps

Michelle is offering the lucky winner a pack of her 12 greetings cards with her own art work on them and a choice of Digital Stamp.
Tracey is also sponsoring the challenge, and is offering some Digital Images from Spesch Designer Stamps.
Tracey is also one of our lovely talented Guest Designers this week, as is Fi. Its her second challenge with us at Stampin, and sadly her last. Its been fun having you aboard hun!

My card this week is as follows:

ALICE IN WONDERLAND!
I have loved this book from being very little. I've read it lots of times, but have lost my copy from when I was at school - I think I will have to buy a new one!
I've used Alice from Spesch Designer Stamps and coloured her with Copics.
The papers are from Papermania and are the black and white Capsule Collection.
I took some inspiration from the following pictures!

Thanks for popping by, and please do visit Stampin' for the Weekend - Actually take in the Teams Cards and Comment on them. After all they've worked so hard to bring you these comments, a little love wouldn't go amiss!

A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge 'Happy Birthday'

You might think the card below is for a young boy, alas no. Take a look at the sentiment!

Its computer generated for my computer freak boyfriend who loves Sim Racing on the PC and also any war game on the X-BOX 360

I'm entering this into A Spoon Full of Sugar challenge which has a 'Birthday' theme this week!

He turned 31 on Tuesday. To celebrate we had friends round for a BBQ as the weather was lovely, sun was shining, no clouds and was rather hot! Towards the end of the evening, when the sun was getting ready to be tucked up for the night, we all came in doors
.
I've used Lili of the Valley image -
Computer Fun, and coloured him with Distress Re-Inkers
Papers are from K&Co and are called HopScotch
Button from stash and sentiment created in Word
The layout used for this card was based on a sketch created by my good friend Donna. When Donna has a few minutes spare, she makes up sketchs and she was kind enough to share them with me for inspiration, so BIG THANK YOU Donna
Thanks for popping by

Stamped Image Box for Papertake Weekly and Stamp Something

My good friend Donna posted on her blog the other day a box she made following a tutorial. The box she made was to store Stamped Images - So I had a look at the tutorial and had a go myself. The tutorial can be found here
I have used a bright blue card for the main part of the box, and white card for the accordion sides.
I've layered some Blueberry Hill papers onto a light blue Core'dinations card stock and distressed both edges and added some Vintage photo to give an aged effect.
I have used Lady Tilda and coloured her with Distress Inks.
This is the front view, I've created the 'Once Upon a Stamp' with the PC with the font Scriptina Pro.
I've used Prince Philip the Frog (small version) too and coloured him to match the papers with Distress Inks
Here is the Fairytale Snail (small version) which was in the Spring Kit
and last but not least - Lady Tilda.

I am entering this Stamped Image Box into two challenge as the title of my post would suggest

Papertake Weekly Challenge (Cutie Pie) - Keep it nice and cute!
and
Stamp Something (I'm hoping I can enter this box as its different from my card and I couldnt find anything to say I couldnt enter twice, if by chance a second entry is not allowed - please ignore my posting)

Spesch Designer Stamp Release!

*~*~*~*~* Engagement *~*~*~*~*

Tracey is releasing this stamp and will be in the Spesch Stamps Esty store fairly soon (within the next 24 hours).

Tracey asked the lovely Christina - artist who came up with the gorgeous Alice stamps among others to design an engagement stamp and this is what the out come was:

I printed it straight on to white card and coloured the image with Copics in shades of C1, C3, C5 and C7 and  blended them together. I added some Stickles to the diamond ring.
The Sentiments were also printed onto the card and the font used for the word Engagement is Scriptina. I added some clear gems to the E, 2nd G and the T.

Thank you for looking, and please check out the Spesch Stamps Etsy store. I'm sure you will find more stamps to love when you go looking for this one!

Celebrating Earth Day!!

The lovely Linda from the blog Natural Suburbia is hosting a gorgeous give away sponsored by Natural Kids Team on Etsy in honour of Earth Day!

Below are the gorgous give-aways which have been donated by various people

Wooden Crafted Play Irons

Gorgeous Play Silk

Cute Felt Snail

The Natural Kids Team is a group of exceptionally talented artists that create the most amazing treasures which are natural and earth friendly. When we think of Earth Day, it allows us to ponder how we can be kinder to our planet, how we as individuals CAN make a difference... Buying toys for our children that are environmentally friendly is a step in the right direction. If one day these toys were to end up in a land fill they would simply return to the earth in a sustainable manner. This resonates deep within my soul and creates peace of mind...

Please pop along and have a look!
