Magnolia Down Under - Guest Design Week 4!

Its my fourth week of guest designing for Magnolia Down Under and I'm so sad cos after this challenge I will only have one more to show you for next week and my Month of being a guest will be up. But, aaaah. Happy days and challenges these have been while I've been making cards and posting them for you!

So HUGE thank yous to Kellie and the girls at MDU!

This week, the Magnolia Down Under girls would like to see shaped cards. Circles, rectangles, diamonds, tents, side steppers – choice is yours!

I’ve gone for a Tent Card and even though I’ve had this Edwin since the start of the new year, I’ve never INKED him before now...SHOCKING!
Please forgive the funny bends in the card, I took the photo without letting it all dry, but now its all nice and straight looking, no wavy lines lol
 I used VersaFine Black Onyx to stamp him out and mask him with the swing, then coloured him with distress inks, used K&Co papers, added some raffia and some buttons. I didn’t put a sentiment on as I wasn’t sure what kinda occasion I was going to use him for. Turns out I have him on my shelf – Looking down on me – Keeping me company while he swings away happily!
Here is a little close up of him!

I am entering this card in to the following challenges

Stamp Something - Two of something. I used two magnolia images - Edwin and his Swing
&
ABC Challenge - Unused Stash - Well having not inked up Edwin counts!

Thanks for visiting.
Please pop along to Magnolia Down Under and check out the fabulous work the team have come up with! Also – if you can – put a couple of hours aside and join in with the challenge! The girls would love to see your creations.

Magnolia Down Under - Second Week Guest Designing

EDIT
We have a Winner for the Lady Bug Tilda!
Who's favourite stamps is Honey Bee Tilda
Maybe Honey Bee Tilda and Ladybug Tilda can be friends?

Congrats hun, email me your details and I'l get her in the post to you ASAP

*****
This week at Magnolia Down Under the theme is

Papertoling!!

When Kellie told me it was 'paper tole' I was like - What the **** - Then she elaborated and said it was making images 3D - so I have decoupaged Tilda - well, layered her over herself.

I've made a gift card/envelope I followed a tutorial here for the base and I hope I made it my own.

Front of the envelope
Inside
Tilda :)
Insert to the envelope, with two £10 notes rolled up as a gift
Close up
The out side
Hand stitched beads on the outside of the envelope

I have used K&Co papers, Lace Doily Punch (MS) Stamped images of Tilda with Frog which I have layered
Coloured with Distress Inks
I have also used Magnolia sentiments
Beads, Charms and Gems from stash

A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge 'Happy Birthday'

You might think the card below is for a young boy, alas no. Take a look at the sentiment!

Its computer generated for my computer freak boyfriend who loves Sim Racing on the PC and also any war game on the X-BOX 360

I'm entering this into A Spoon Full of Sugar challenge which has a 'Birthday' theme this week!

He turned 31 on Tuesday. To celebrate we had friends round for a BBQ as the weather was lovely, sun was shining, no clouds and was rather hot! Towards the end of the evening, when the sun was getting ready to be tucked up for the night, we all came in doors
.
I've used Lili of the Valley image -
Computer Fun, and coloured him with Distress Re-Inkers
Papers are from K&Co and are called HopScotch
Button from stash and sentiment created in Word
The layout used for this card was based on a sketch created by my good friend Donna. When Donna has a few minutes spare, she makes up sketchs and she was kind enough to share them with me for inspiration, so BIG THANK YOU Donna!
Thanks for popping by

Mini Candy!!

Hello there!!...
Well, I thought it was about time I had a little candy to say thank you to everyone who has left a comment on my blog, and to those who follow me!

I also noticed the other day that I now have over 300 followers and that I'm nearly at the 25K mark of hits on my blog! Amazing stuff as I've not had my blog a year and I only started crafting properly last March when I was undergoing Chemotherapy!!

SO HUGE THANK YOU'S!!

This is the candy...
Above there are
Some Wild Orchid Flowers
K&Co 6x6 Paper Pad called Sparkly Sweet
A Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad and a
BRAND NEW Through My Heart 2010 Collection Magnolia stamp - Honey Tilda

Below I've put together a little collection of charms, and I beg your forgiveness as the photos are not the greatest, but you can see what's on offer!

All I ask you to do is spread the word. Either make a post on your blog, and/or pop a link back to me in your sidebars. If you do not have a blog, do not worry - you can still enter. Just leave me a comment to say how your gonna spread the word. If you dont have a blog, if you are leaving a message on a craft forum, please also use the URL to put into Mr Linky so I can see your spreading the word. I won't be using comments for the draw!
You don't have to follow me, but if you did decide to, that would be great!

Please leave your name with Mr Linky and I will pick a winner on Valentines Day!

Whiff of Joy meets A Spoon Full of Sugar

I'm entering these cards into two challenges

and

Over at Whiff of Joy this week they have two recipes
* x4 Papers, 3 Bling, 2 flowers

or
* x3 Paper, 2 Bling, 1 Flower
So I went for both, I have actually used the right amount of Patterned Papers, only I've used one for the leaves on the flowers - cunning eh?

I've used K&Co Roam and also Life's Journey papers which are 12x12. flowers, gems, brad and charms are from my stash.

Here is the second card using the other recipe, for the Bling I used the Brad and the Charm.
Images coloured using Distress Inks.

Here is a little close up of this cute image!

I've not had a good excuse to ink these up for AGES. So it was nice to sit down and relax and play around for a couple of hours!

Thanks for popping by!
Please leave a comment so I know you've been, and can come visit you in return!

Totally Gorjuss meets Tuesday Morning Sketchers

Hello everyone
I've had a play around this evening with my NEW Distress Re-Inkers and coloured this cute Gorjuss Girl in from Funky Kits.
When I was finished I didnt know what to do with her so I went on the look out and found some Challenges
Tuesday Morning Sketchers had this sketch for us to play with so I rotated it 180 degrees

And the lovely Totally Gorjuss Challenge blog were looking for Thank You cards.
I tend not to put 'THANKS' on the front of my thank you cards, so I hope the girls on the TG Team don't mind too much!

I've used papers from K&Co - 'Roam' and 'Life's Journey' 12x12 collections

Punched some flowers with the same papers using my Retro punches in Large and Medium sizes, and added some green gem brads from stash

A little close up of this cutie!

Thank you for popping by!

The Sugar Bowl - Quick Quick Quick!

I have created a VERY quick  card to play along in the Sugar Bowl Challenge. I followed the sketch there and kept it very simple.
Its a 'note card' to a friend as we've not really spoken in a while, so I thought I'd send her a card with a letter inside.

I have used K&Co Paper from the Roam and Life's Journey 12x12 sets and the image is 'Reflective' if I am correct.

Here's a close up of this gorgeous cutie!
Thank you for popping by!

Stampin' for the Weekend - DT Calendar!

Hello!
Sorry for being a bad blogger. My Mojo has GONE! I forced myself to colour in these new Magnolia Images from the Winter Kit the other night. My heart just was not in it, which has resulted in poor photos too!

This weeks challenge at Stampin' for the Weekend, we'd like to see a Calendar of Sorts!

I bought this K&Co calendar kit a while back and its only just been looked at again. I decorated the front as per instructions, but the inside I will finish decorating to my liking! Something to keep me occupied over the Christmas holidays!

Front Page

This is the front of the box - again the sketch is flipped :D
And I've doodled in the same way and written thank you on this one!
A couple more views of the box

Stampin' for the Weekend ~ Alterations!

Wow - What a lovely week I have had, making my way around all your blogs and commenting on all that lovely Masking. Super stamps you all have and I am loving the Stampscenes some of you did!

This week at Stampin' for the Weekend we have an equally excellent challenge for you! We would like to see you 'Alter' something.

This weeks lovely sponsor is Susie at Die Cut Dreams.

Susie is offering one of you lucky crafters who catches our eye, lots and lots of lovely die cuts! There has got to be £20 worth there, can you imagine what you could do with them? Chalk them, ink them, alter them the list is endless!

~~~~~~~~~~
I have decided to make a set for my 'Altered' project.
My Mother in Law had a Summer House built in her back garden and since my partner and his siblings have grown up and flown the coop, she has always wanted one, and earlier this month, her dream came true (shame I have no photo's - I will get some I promise!)
Here we have all of my items that I have made for this weeks Challenge. My altered Items are the Candle and the Note book.
Candle and Bag with Tag.
Candle all wrapped up ready to go in the bag.
The card I made and the note book cover I altered.
A little close up of the Card Image
And one of the Tag Image
There you have it. I had sooooo much fun making the candle. Super way to spruce up a plain alter candle and it didnt take all that long to do either. Dont forget we have the super lovely Suzie who is our Guest Designer this week. Its her last week, so make sure you pay her some love and go and see her wonderful Altered project, Thank you Suzie for Designing for us these past two weeks, been a pleasure!
Also - The Stampin' Team have come up with some Uber Altered Items, and you should go see for yourselves how they did it. Maybe they will inspire you to give something a go you wouldnt normally do?
My Recipe
Stamps: Magnolias Watering Can, Summer 09 Flowers (all three), Tilda with Key and Tilda with Flower also from the Summer 09 kit
Paper/Card: K&Co papers from Roam, Lifes Journey and Wild Saffron, Papermania Textured Card Stock
