I'm Home!!!

Hello Ladies and Gents!

Thank you again to all you lovely bloggers out there who left kind comments on my previous two posts! They are all really appreciated! I am slowly adjusting to what happened two weeks ago. After all he was only 42 and had his whole life to lead, I find some comfort in the fact he was fast asleep when it happened and died instantly. I will miss him so much. Sleep Well Big Man!! xx

I am now home and have sat at the craft desk for the first time today and wow - its nice to be back. I can now get some therapy and escape for an hour or so a day to get back into the swing of things!

Stampin' for the Weekend future will be decided soon I hope. Donna is still very much unwell at the moment and I wish her a speedy recovery and hope that she is able to get back to crafting too very soon. I will be posting on the Stampin' Challenge Blog to update everyone on what will be happening to the Challenge blog soon, so keep an eye out!

I will be attempting to make a card soon, I just hope Mr Mojo comes and gives me a hand as I am looking at stamps and inks and its as if I've never used them before, very strange!

Fingers crossed I dont mess up!

Hugs

An Update and a HUGE thankyou!!

Hello Everyone.

I thought I would leave a quick update to let you know that I'm ok. I'm with my Mam and my Dad and I have little Poppy here with me. I am slowly getting there. We are having the funeral on Friday which is a long wait as it happened last Sunday.

We are going to give him the send off he deserves with family and friends present.

I will be back to blogging soon, but I dont know when. I should be back at home early next week so you should see me about, but probably not with any cards for a little while.

Thank you to everyone who left me a comment on my previous post. I've been checking my email on my phone when it allowed and I'm so overwhelmed at the comments and emails I have recieved. They've helped alot this past week :o)

I will be back soon..

Kimmi xx

Good Bye everyone

I dont know when I will be back to blogging. I've just had news my brother has been killed in a car accident (only in his early 40's) so I am travelling shortly (400 miles) to be with my family.

I will not be posting any cards, if I owe anything, I am sorry but everything will have to wait until I come back!

Stampin' for the Weekend - Week 15

Welcome to week 15 of Stampin' for the Weekend.

For this weeks challenge, Donna has been a busy Gal and has come up with a fabulous Sketch for us all to do. The team have had lots of fun with it, so please head on over to thier blogs and have a peek!

We have two guest designers this week, it is Lorraine's last week with us (she's been having mega problems with her internet so we're all hoping she will be back to blogging soon), and Lisa is our second guest designer this week. She also has some beautiful cards, make sure you pop by and leave them some love too.

Our sponsor this week is the fabulous Heidi from Simon Says Stamp

She is offering the lucky winner of this challenge a $25 spending spree :D Oh - How I wish I could have a spending spree lol
***
Here is Donna's fab sketch - check out all those layers, its a brilliant excuse to use all those gorgeous papers you have in your stash!
I've used my Miss Anya stamp for the first time today. My lovely DT Buddie Vicki sent me a couple to play with and although I've only coloured a couple and never used them yet I wanted the stamps myself, so I bought them lol...
I think she looks very pretty in blue and brown :D I didn't want her to have 'socks' so I have left them like net stockings, and just highlighted the 'net' so to speak.

I've used papers from Making Memories, its the Cosmopolitan Collection and I just love them. They are patterned on one side and a co-ordinating colour on the reverse. I will have to get me some more of this as I just loved using them! The ribbon and gems were from my stash.
I've used some paper that I've never used before to stamp on and its from Photo Paper Direct. Now you might ask why would I be using Photo Paper - I'm not :) Its a craft paper which they stock and I have to say I am really impressed with it. I've managed to get more shading on this image than I have on any other in the past. The paper is made for copics! Its heavier than the paper/card I use, at 280g its sturdy and cuts a dream in the Cuttle Bug too!
I was a little skeptical at first as I thought I would struggle, but its lovely. Its lightly textured and I think this is why the shading looks as good as it does. I will be having a go with some Prisma Colour Pencils and also my Watercolours to see how well it stands up to them in the near future. If your interested, you can buy it from here and they do single sheets if you want to try it first for a small price

Here is my little element for the top left corner - its a paper rose - again from Wild Orchid Crafts and I've highlighted it with a light shade of blue, and then spritzed with some Glimmer Mist.

For your chance to win that fantastic $25 spending spree, head on over to Stampin' for the Weekend, check out the Design Teams and Guest Designer cards and get creating. I cant wait to see what you all come up with!

La-La Lands Weekly Wednesday Challenge!!

Its week four at La-La Lands Weekly Wednesday Challenge blog and this week Kim Yu set us all the theme of Distressing.
So get your inks, sandpaper or scissors out and get distressing!!
I have picked my favourite Lala of the ones I have which is Fairy Lala. She is just a dream to colour! I have (for some strange reason) been drawn to purple recently and its not really one of my colours. I picked up a couple of shades of it and coloured her hair and I went from there.
I've coloured her with copics and added some sparkle to her wings and wand.
The papers I have used are Bearly Mine Designs - Designer Extreme Vols II and III, which have all been distressed by tearing and then inking with some copic inks. I then layered the printed papers onto Papermania Textured Card.
Here is another little view of her. The paper roses and pearl strands are from Wild Orchid Crafts and I have inked the larger roses as they are plain cream.

Again this week, Irina is offering a 25% discount to the winner and a top three blinkie award to those who are selected the most by the Design Team and Guest Designers.

I am entering this card for Three challenges
- Stamp Something - which is to use your favorite stamp (an added bonus was to use die cut or punched shapes which I have not done)
- Friday Sketchers - A fabulous sketch by Heidi click here to see the sketch. I've also noticed that I've added flowers where there shouldnt be any - however, I saw that the Design Team had a but of freedom and have added flowers and embellies in corners and around the image. So hopefully, I've not done anything wrong - the sketch is still very much visable :D
Creative Card Crew - Have a Fairy Nice Day! (I've used Fairy Lala - So think this counts hehe)

I hope you have fun with the challenge, please remember to visit the Design Team's and the Guest Designers Blogs.
Y

Before you go, I have a couple of images to show you from the Halloween Collection, which is now available from the La-La Land Crafts Store. From left to right we have Witch Lala, Whiskers with Pumpkin and Witch on the Broom Rosie...
Head on over to order yours so you get them in time to make all your Halloween Party Invite or just a Halloween card, there is so much choice, I'm sure you will find a favourite!
Happy Crafting!

Two Lovely Awards :D

I received this award yesterday from the lovely Aunty Sue :D

I feel very honoured to receive this award from her as she's said some lovely things about me and I can never take a compliment.
Thank you so much Sue for thinking of me. I now have the hard task of picking just one blogger to pass this onto
*Yikes*

Its not really a hard task, as I have several people I'd like to pass this award onto - But I can only pass it onto one blogger. And that one special blogger who has been there for me while I have been Battling Cancer and going through Chemotherapy is the Lovely, Generous, Kind and Supportive friend I have found over at a lovely corner of blog land called Bearly Mine Crafts! Donna has shown me a friendship you'd not have thought possible while blogging and emailing. Its as if we'd known each other for a longer time than the two years we have! So a HUGE thank you to Donna for being there for me these past few months, your a gem!

*********

My lovely and very talented Stampin' Teamie Nancy gave me this award a little while ago and I've never got round to picking it up and posting about it! Sorry hunnie :(

If you've not visited Nancy blog (can I ask why? lol) go have a peek you will not be disappointed with the fabulous cards and projects she makes, there is a fabulous post of Nancy and her 4 year old Daughter Pernille making a sweet little milk carton which turned up on my doorstep the other day with a gorgeous pair of Mitts that Nancy had knitted and some lovely hair clips that if I were younger I would ware, but alas, they were for my Little Poppy :D

Thank you so much Nancy and Pernille :D We loved the pressie for Poppy and I love my card :D

The rules for this award are to link back to the person who gave it to you, and list 5 things you love to do!! Well now, 5 things I love to do...

Playing with my Daughter Poppy and hearing her laugh and screech when she's having fun
Watching a DVD snuggled up on the sofa with my Boyfriend
Being able to sit for a couple of hours and make cards and blog hop
Go for walks down at the bay and walk along the pier (with a bag of chips)
To get all comfy when Poppy is in bed, and Stephen is out and read one of my books :D

I pass this on to the following lovely ladies:

Thank you for all the inspiration you have given me over the past few months

Happy Birthday to ...

... my DT Buddie at La-La Land Crafts.

Today is Maureens Birthday so we've got together a few cards to surprise her, cool eh?

I hope Maureen likes the card I have made to celebrate her Birthday, I'm not usually a Purple kinda girl, but when I started on the card, this is where it took me! Strange eh?

I've used Sitting Lala from La-La Land Crafts and I have hand drawn a chocolate chip cupcake for her to sit on, I drew it in pencil first then carefully went over it with my Copic Multi Liner so that when I coloured it in, the Ciao's wouldn't smudge! I was really nervous at first because I didn't know how it was going to turn out, but I'm pleased with it!

I've used papers from Bearly Mine Designs - Designer Extreme Vol III and loved the butterfly paper so much, I didn't want to finish the sketch from Create4Fun as it meant I had to cover it up :o( But you can see some of the butterflies - even if it is just a wing hehe. I cuttlebuged the middle paper with Allegro and then sanded over it to give the white areas.

The roses are from Wild Orchid Crafts and I coloured the larger ones in with my Ciao Pen as they are cream, the little roses were already tinted with a lovely purple hue.

Thanks for popping by and please head on over and wish Maureen a Happy Birthday -
You'd really make her day!!

Happy Birthday Heidi!!

Heidi from Simon Says Stamp is celebrating her birthday this week and has chosen a fabulous Sketch created by Iris one of the lovely Design Team members at Simons Says Stamp Challenge Blog.

Happy Birthday Heidi!!!

Thank you so much again for helping Stampin' for the Weekend by sponsoring us regularly! We really do appreciate it!!
*Hugs*

I've followed the Sketch pretty much to a T.
I had to cut out the ovals myself as not got this shape in the nesties yet, so please forgive the wonkieness!

I've used Birthday Lala from La-la Land Crafts and have coloured her with my Copics. Papers are from My Minds Eye and are from the Bloom and Grow collection. Flowers from my stash, sentiment is computer generated. The lovely ribbon was from Poppicrafts!

I'm sure you'd all like to wish Heidi a Happy Birthday and what better way than to get out your craft stash and make a card for this fabulous challenge.

Happy Crafting!!

Stampin' for the Weekend - Week 14

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you for playing along last week.
I was so pleased with everyone's enteries and you made my week extra special by playing along with my theme which was personal to me :D

This week over at Stampin' for the Weekend, we've gone for a colour combination of Orange, Teal and Pink - Such a fabulous combo, but it took me a while to get my head around it!

Our lovely sponsors this week is The Craft Barn

And they are kindly offering the winner of this challenge a £15 Gift Certificate to spend in thier store :D

I did not know what to do for this challenge. I thought long and hard and having no idea what papers to use, I got out my trusted, most faithful discs from Bearly Mine Designs. I've used papers form Designer Extreme Vol II and III and they go so well together.

The image is a Diane Duda stamp which I received in a lovely Birthday card in June from my lovely Teamie Vanja (Thanks Hunni :oD ) I added some pearl brads and some flowers from my stash including punching some Retro Flowers out from the printed papers.

I coloured her with copics and added some sparkle with some Glimmer Dust to her crown and the frogs crown, then spritzed the whole card with Pearl Glimmer Mist :D I am LOVING this stuff!!

Please pay a visit to the team this week. We have a lot of new starters this week - so please make them feel welcome :D We also have TWO Guest Designers Lorraine and Carlie - Please make sure you visit thier blogs also and see what lovely cards they've created.

Thank you for popping by, I can't wait to see what you all come up with this weeky Y

La-La Lands Weekly Wednesday Challenge 3 and some Blog Candy News!

WOW - Week Three already! How time flies when having fun!

I'm sorry I was unable to get round to visiting your blogs last week. Its been a busy time for me and now that the festivities of Poppy's Birthday and Naming Ceremony are over I can start to relax. I will be able to play more with my crafting and using my many stamps which have yet to be inked.. One of which was Lala whom I have used today!!

Yes - its week three at La-la Lands Weekly Wednesday Challenge and this weeks theme has been set by the lovely Kim which is
'Bling Bling'...

I'm not usually one for adding Bling to my cards, so I've kept it minimal. I've used three little crystal gems :D Hope Kim likes it!

I have used Window Lala and I think she is adorable! Such a cutie! Don't you think?
I have coloured her with Copics, I usually highlight with a white pen, but didn't think she needed it today!

I've glimmer misted over the whole image to give a little sparkle. I am loving this Glimmer Mist I think it is fabulous!

The papers used are from Bearly Mine Designs - Designer Extreme Vol II. I think this disc is fabulous, however, Donna has out done herself again and she has just released a new Disc which is Vol III - Check out the blog for some peeks at what the discs hold!
Here is another view of the card. I have added a large button and a sentiment from Whiff of Joy.

To enter - all you have to do is create a new card or project and upload it to Mr Linky on the Lala Land Craft Blog. Leave a comment on the blog. If you link your card at Split Coast Stampers - remember to use the CODE --- LLWWC3 so we can find you easily (If you are using a La-La Land Stamp too, also add the code LLLC)

Again Irina is offering the lucky winner a huge 25% off in store, the team will be picking a winner to be announced Next Tuesday - so stay tuned!

I am entering this card for two challenges -

Mojo Monday - A Sketch - which I have flipped and used a button for one of the 'elements' (hope that was OK to do )

Creative Card Crew~ Pink, Black and White - Great colour combo and such fun to do!

Before you dash and go visit the the rest of the Design Teams cards - please read on ...

If you have not already entered the Blog Candy - Irina is kindly giving away, you'd best get your skates on and go have a peek. Below are three sneak peeks from the up coming Hallowe'en collection over at La-la Land Crafts and I have to say they are all as cute as the first collection! Keep an eye out at La-La Land Crafts Store where you will soon find these beauties...

Irina is offering one lucky blogger who enters the Candy the chance to win ONE of the NEW Hallowe'en Stamps! How cool is that!
