This is a message from Karen at KarensDoodles!!

Taken from Karen'sDoodles
I am sending this Freebie as a reminder that it is NOT OK to share my images with your friends! I have the names, blogs and addresses of EVERYONE who has either purchased an image or received one as a freebie. That email proves that YOU are registered owner of that image. When you received the email, I included my Angel Policy which clearly says that these images are for your PERSONAL USE ONLY and not to be shared with anyone. You can print out a few copies so you can make cards with your children or grandchildren, that's OK. But anything else is illegal and unethical.

I am an artist and this is how I make my living! You are stealing money from me and other digi artists, when you share your images. It is also unfair to the many honest followers who DO purchase stamps from me. If this practice continues, I may be forced to stop selling my digi images rather than risk them being stolen.

Digi stamps are a new concept. I really think people who are doing this don't understand the damage they are doing to artists by digi sharing. I believe there is good in all people- so please- if you have either purchased an image from me or received a Freebie
and shared it, call your friends immediately and tell them to either purchase the image or delete it, before Monday. YOU are responsible for your own image.

If you have received a shared image, purchase it
NOW or delete it immediately. You must do this before Monday. People are purchasing images and I won't know the difference if you are a person who wants a new image or if you are "buying" your shared image. If you don't want to purchase your "shared" image then delete it and never use it again.
On Monday
, I will begin the process of seeking out illegal images. If you are caught with one you won't be able to join in Challenges or purchase images from me in the future. Is it really worth it? I don't think so but it is up to you. Also on Monday, all of you followers who still want me to keep drawing Bigsby and Herbert, please email me at kdfollowers@gmail.com when you see a card posted with my image. I will check it against my list of Stamp Owners to see if it is from a registered owner.

Just Magnolia - Jay Jay's Sketch

This week at Just Magnolia Jay Jay has come up with a fabby Sketch!
I've made an easel card for a friend's birthday and used some free papers I got with a magazine recently, which are My Minds Eye and are totally gorgeous!

I've coloured in this cute "Tilda in the Sea" from the 'Sea Summer' 2008 Collection with Distress Inks, and then stamped her again but just to her shoulders, and coloured again with Distress Inks.

I've used some flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and the charms I had lying around. Ribbon and pearls from Stash.

A little view of Tilda

And another little view this time of the image on the insid

I glamour misted the flowers with Iridescent Gold to give that little sparkle too!
Thanks for popping by, have a lovely weekend!

edit - the Magazine is Cardmaking and Papercraft

Whiff of Joy meets A Spoon Full of Sugar

I'm entering these cards into two challenges

and

Over at Whiff of Joy this week they have two recipes
* x4 Papers, 3 Bling, 2 flowers

or
* x3 Paper, 2 Bling, 1 Flower
So I went for both, I have actually used the right amount of Patterned Papers, only I've used one for the leaves on the flowers - cunning eh?

I've used K&Co Roam and also Life's Journey papers which are 12x12. flowers, gems, brad and charms are from my stash.

Here is the second card using the other recipe, for the Bling I used the Brad and the Charm.
Images coloured using Distress Inks.

Here is a little close up of this cute image!

I've not had a good excuse to ink these up for AGES. So it was nice to sit down and relax and play around for a couple of hours!

Thanks for popping by!
Please leave a comment so I know you've been, and can come visit you in return!

A Sketch for you - DT card Stampin' for the Weekend

Good Morning, its a Friday, and its the 3rd Friday of the month which means:

Another challenge over at Stampin' for the Weekend!

This week the lovely Fiona has created this fabulous sketch for us to follow

She is also providing the prize for this challenge which are these two gorgeous stamps from Funky Kits.
They are Sugar Nellies - Part of the Home Grown collection!

Wish I could play along this week!
***
Here is my take on the sketch for this challenge

I have used some gorgeous papers I received in a Secret Santa pressie called Lemonade which is by Basic Grey. I have used copics and coloured in my Tildas (Tilda Picking Peaches and the other one of which I'm not sure which collection she belonged to) and added some lace, ribbon, charms and flowers from my stash.
The sentiment is also a Magnolia Stamp.

I have popped this little cutie on the inside too so the inside isn't bare and boring! She sits on a strip of paper which goes along the inside length of the card, just below where you'd write your message

We also have a Guest Designer this week - Sharon kindly agreed to stay on until the end of January - Thanks Sharon!! Check our her beautiful creations here!
Thank you for popping by, I hope you will visit the Design Teams blogs and see what they have come up with this week. I'm sure you will find lots of inspiration to take part in the challenge this fortnight!

Totally Gorjuss meets Tuesday Morning Sketchers

Hello everyone
I've had a play around this evening with my NEW Distress Re-Inkers and coloured this cute Gorjuss Girl in from Funky Kits.
When I was finished I didnt know what to do with her so I went on the look out and found some Challenges
Tuesday Morning Sketchers had this sketch for us to play with so I rotated it 180 degrees

And the lovely Totally Gorjuss Challenge blog were looking for Thank You cards.
I tend not to put 'THANKS' on the front of my thank you cards, so I hope the girls on the TG Team don't mind too much!

I've used papers from K&Co - 'Roam' and 'Life's Journey' 12x12 collections

Punched some flowers with the same papers using my Retro punches in Large and Medium sizes, and added some green gem brads from stash

A little close up of this cutie!

Thank you for popping by!

The Sugar Bowl - Quick Quick Quick!

I have created a VERY quick  card to play along in the Sugar Bowl Challenge. I followed the sketch there and kept it very simple.
Its a 'note card' to a friend as we've not really spoken in a while, so I thought I'd send her a card with a letter inside.

I have used K&Co Paper from the Roam and Life's Journey 12x12 sets and the image is 'Reflective' if I am correct.

Here's a close up of this gorgeous cutie!
Thank you for popping by!

Magnolia Down Under meets Sketch Saturday!

Over at  Magnolia Down Under the Girls are asking us crafters to use a stamp for another reason... I've used Tilda from the new Winter Kit 2009 - I think this little cutie sits on the Piano in the collection and is more of a 'New Year's' type of gal than a simple 'Thank You' gal as she is all dolled up!
I've also used the Sketch from Sketch Saturday which is fabulous!

Here is my card!

I've just realised looking at the card that I've not put the sentiment on Doh!

Nevermind! I'l put it on my 'to-do' list for later today.
I coloured her with Copics and used my new papers from the Laura Ashley Blossom set which I got as a Christmas pressie. Ribbon, flowers and pearls from stash.

Thanks for popping by, have a wonderful week!

My Grafico - First time play along!

To support my Stampin’ buddie Nancy, I decided to have a play this week at My Grafico.
The theme this week is Out with the OLD and in with the NEW!
Meaning we have to be cleaver and incorporate something new with a re-purposed item, be it wrapping paper, something from a card you've received or old calendars.
Here is my card!

I have used some new papers I received in a Secret Santa ~ Basic Grey - Lemonade *which are gorgeous! Thank you*
Then I printed out one of the Digi Stamps from the My Grafico Love Grows Here set onto some Pink Paper, then I printed the little cute bird onto plain white and hinted with a little shading in Pink in Copics.

My re-purposed items are the wire and the little Dove charm. The wire I pulled off a really old card I received a while back, and the little Dove was from a bracelet which snapped early last year which I saved in my stash box along with the other charms from the same bracelet (was a cheapie so no loss).

If you have a spare few minutes you can pop across to My Grafico and play along in their blog hop as they have announced the new teams for this half of the year. Also - there are great prizes up for grabs - a second chance to win is to take part in the challenge!
Good Luck and Thank You for popping by!

Good Morning
I hope you are all seeing in the New Year without a hang over! I am scheduling this post as I will be at work :(
I opted to stay at home with Poppy while Daddy gets to PARTY!

This week over at Stampin' for the Weekend, we are kicking off with a simple challenge

"Here's to New Beginnings"

We'd like to see some cards inspired by being 'NEW' or a 'BEGINNING' of something - so New Year Wishes, New Baby, Wedding ..even celebrating a Divorce... New Job or New Home, the choice is yours!

This fortnights challenge is being sponsored by Heidi from Simon Says Stamp!

Heidi is offering the lucky winner a £25 Gift Voucher to spend in the Store on some fabulous crafty goodies of their choice!

Well then - Here's to New Beginnings!!
To make it easy on me, I went for a simple wedding card!

I have used papers from K&Co that I had lying around, and distressed the edges and inked them using my copics! Image and sentiments are from TGF Cake Topper set I received from a lovely and generous Teamie of mine! Thank you hun!

I coloured the image using Copics and added some Glossy Accent to the bow, button and flowers in her hair!
Twine is from my Gardening box and I added a Charm I had in my Stash.

We have a lovely Guest Designer this fortinight called Sharon. Sharon GD'd for us in our last challenge and kindly said yes to designing for us for our first challenge in 2010! Sharon also got some exciting news recently - she has been picked as 'Papercrafter of the Year' by the Magazine - Papercraft Essentials! Have you got your copy ??
