Poppy Swing

Well - I have just got back from the Grandparents house after having a lovely roast dinner and chat. Poppy loves it round there, her Grandparents (my in-laws) are bonkers!

Anyways - when we arrived at half six this evening, grandma (Ama) wanted to know if Poppy would like to go in the garden and have a look at her new present. I thought it might have been a paddling pool or something for when the weather picks up, but no.. Hanging from the aged Apple tree was a lush bright pink bucket swing.

Poppy LOVED it... smiling, laughing, squealing with delight.

I only managed to get one picture, and it was taken on the phone, so sorry for the bad quality.

She is soooooooooo CUTE!!!

Anyways, enough of the baby chat - back to crafting... Now....................... Where'd I put my DST???

Trump making his first apperance...

I've been meaning to use my Lumas Thorn elf set since they arrived on my doorstep over a week ago! So here is the first card (of many) using these cheeky chappies..

Trump - Elf stamp available from Bearly Mine Designs - Pop on over, I'm sure Donna won't mind!

Stamped using Momento Tuxedo Black Ink

Coloured using Copic Ciao Pens
Papers from Bearly Mine Designs - freebie with purchase of Elf stamps

I had fun colouring him in, the options are endless! I went with green in the end, after tinkering around with the ideas of reds, purples and tawny colours hehe...

Whiff of Joy Challenge #23

There is a lovely sketch by Donalda over at WoJ Wednesday Challenge Blog, that I took a peek at last night. I decided to hedge my bets and enter my first blog challenge. So here she is, making her first of many appearances on my blog.
Melinda with Muffin Basket from the Guardian angel collection over at WoJ Stamps.

Melinda stamped with Momento Tsukineko Tuxedo Black Ink and coloured using my Copic Ciao pens.

Papers are from Making Memories Boho Chic collection.
The wee muffin in the corner was created using my Quickutz hand tool and muffin die.

Eyelets from my stash inserted using my ProvoCraft Silent Setter
I did not use a sentiment on this card as I thought it could be used for most occasions.

Thanks for taking a peek.

Poppy and Daddy are mobile

... After much deliberation and trying out a few baby carriers, we found this one today. We tried it out at the beach today, but my phone/camera battery was running low, so I only managed to get one photo...
I thought I'd put another in, of Poppy enjoying a crumpet too! Yumm Yumm...

Green Tilda

Well... My Copics arrived earlier today (well yesterday if your picky)... So I had a quick play. Apart from the laces in her shoes, I kinda like this card. The ink ran, I think the tip of the pen was too big for such fine detail. The papers used are from the Bearly Mine Designs Designer Extreme CD Vol 1. The ribbon was from my stash and the sentiments were a couple of rub ons I had left over.

The papers used are called -
Distressed Circles - background
Shamrock effect - smaller square
Daisy Wheels II - rectangle
Green Golden Jungle - circle

I also used a few ink pads to give the rough edges a little colour.

Another Magnolia card

'Sitting with bow'

I coloured her in with my whisper pens (Copics hadn't turned up yet). The papers are from
Bearly Mine Designer Extreme CD Vol 1. The flower is from the Papermania red and pink set and a sparkly brad from my stash. The sentiment was a freebie from a craft magazine I bought years ago.
The papers are the Raspberry Collection on the cd & are:
Big Red & Pink Circles - Back ground
Raspberry Dotty Life - Rectangle
Hearts and Swirls Design - smaller square at front

Look what was delivered today ...

They arrived today at 1pm. I am sooo excited to use them... However, I tried to use them with a StazOn stamped image and I smudged it! I have been told to buy some versa fine or momento ink pads to prevent smudging... Off to the online shops...

Charms can be found on my blog shop over here! as Suzanne put wrong link up :D

First Bearly Mine Designs / Magnolia Card

'You Rock'...

Here is my first Magnolia attempt. I feel a little bad, as I have clipped her wings :-O I made a big boo boo and decided to cut them off...

I have used papers printed from Bearly Mine Designs: Designer Extreme Vol 1 CD, Coloured in with Whispers strokes and permanents pens (will be using my copics when they arrive whoop whoop). The Ribbon flower was made by myself, and stitched into place with a nice brown button from my stash. The Birthday Wishes ticket stubbs were also from said CD above.

The papers I used were -
Chocolate Skies (back ground)
Pink Colossal Circle &
Brown Circles

My Gorgeous Boyfriend

Well, what can I say... My boyfriend of six years confessed today of using my eBay and pay pal account! How naughty is that. I forgave him, after the shock wore off. Why was I shocked? you may well ask. He ordered a set of Copics Ciao from eBay. Its the 72 piece Set A. After thinking about it, I'm kinda excited. I've seen so many cards etc being coloured with these famous pens that I can't wait to have a go myself. However, I am still slightly annoyed as I spent a few pennies myself ordering some pastel colours to give them ago before I bought anymore. I'm sure I will have a few duplicates...Oh and he may have used my accounts, but he has since written me a nice cheque to pay for them ha ha. Roll on the next few days, I'll be waiting for the postie in anticipation.

Poppies and Buttons!

I have a lovely new Blog page with thanks to Donna of Bearly Mine Designs I just LOVE it... Poppies and my very own baby Poppy... I'm chuffed to bits. Thank you sooooo much again Donna, its fabulous!!!!!

Here it is....

My first card in many, many moons...I had no idea of what to use and how to use it first. I haven't made a card for ages and having sold and given away the majority of my craft supplies I was limited to what I could use. So on Saturday I went out and bought some new bits and bobs and clocked eyes on the Daisy and Dandelion stamps (but left without them). So yesterady I went back and bought the Daisy/Dandelion, Marshmallow/Candyfloss and the Bubble/Squeak sets along with the matching papers.
Soooo...
After sitting for a while, I chose Daisy :o) she is cute! I stamped her out with StazOn black ink (since been told to buy a different ink so as not to stain the clear stamp - Will have to spend some more money hehe)... Coloured her in with watercolour paints, used one of the smaller stamp daisies for her head. Then layered a few bits of paper and stitched a border around the smaller rectangle. Finished it off with a Birthday sticker ... Walla bing Walla Bang. All the craft kit is packed up again, because Poppy wanted to play with it all. Maybe I'l get to craft when she sleeps tomorrow :o)

New(ish) arrival

Here she is... My gorgeous daughter Poppy Helena who is a tiny miracle! (well she was tiny ... she is now 6months old). Born 27th August 08.

New Blog - New beginings!

It seems I have no email account with a certain provider anymore so I am having to restart everything. My old blog was here but nevermind that. A new begining is in need right now! So here goes....
