Race for Life

Good Morning everyone!

Today is the day I am taking part with Thousands of Women who are running, jogging or walking the Race for Life in aid if Cancer Research!

For those of you who do not know, I was diagnosed with Bowel Cancer in December 08, just three months after giving birth to my gorgeous and so lucky to be here baby girl. She is now 9 months old and I am so smitten like the rest of the family, especially Daddy who she has wrapped round her little finger already!
I started Chemotherapy just over four months ago, and I have two more months left of the treatment. So far, scans have been negative for any other nasties lurking around, so for that I am very thankful.
Anyways - I just thought I'd let you all know that I've not been around these past few days as I have my parents down for a few days, before me and Poppy go galivanting in the North East of England (my home) for a couple of days! I will see you all next week some time, if I manage to find a connection, if not, I'll see you when Stampin' for the Weekend Starts!
Also, if I may be so up front and ask - if you have not sponsored anyone for Race for Life, and I know many of you probably have, could you please consider sponsoring me? I have a link in my side bar, for any of you wishing to donate.

Thank You soooo much for reading my post, and I truly hope that you and your family/friends are never affected by this god awful, life shattering disease! If you have been affected, take a minute just to reflect and think of yourself, and love ones.

Hugs

Hi Kim

Just wanted to wish you all the luck in the world with your next two months of chemo and even more luck that this will end your cancer journey.

Its such an emotional day to be part of, I am not doing it this year as going in for a hysterectomy(I have the BRCA 2 cancer gene hence the surgery) on the 11th June (our race is the end of the month) but will be there I hope cheering my family and friends on who are doing it.

Poppy is just adorable!

Keep on keeping on :-)

Hi Kimmi, thanks for popping by last night and leaving such a lovely comment, I do so hope your heels are less painful today and you are ok. I would take it easy for a couple of days and try and put your feet up and relax in the garden. Take care love and hugs Shirleyxxxx
