All things baby !! Stampin' for the Weekend DT card!

Hello again and welcome to Stampin' for the Weekends 13th Challenge

This week, I am sponsoring the challenge, and the reason behind it, is because Yesterday (27th) was my little girls First Birthday and today (28th) is her Naming Ceremony, so at half one I will be standing in a registry office, surrounded by family and friends and celebrating my little girls birthday and naming day! Not to mention the party afterwards which is a combination of Poppy's day and Mine for finishing my CHEMOTHERAPY!! Whoop Whoop!

I have set the theme of BABY cards - be it New Born, First Birthday, Christening, Naming Day, girl or boy the choice is yours!

Up for grabs for the winner is

Two stamps from the Whiff of Joy Baby Collection.
Willow with Baby and the Baby Sentiments! Ideal for new baby cards!!

So for my card this week I've created a Side Step card for my baby girls birthday, so forgive the pinkness! I've used WoJ Animal Collection which were released end of July :D
Aren't they sweet!

The ribbon is from Papermania as is the Alpahbet set of stamps which I overlapped to give this effect.

The animals have been coloured using Copics. The Bears are a little darker than I'd of liked, but I think they give a good contrast against the Lion and the Monkey.

I cut the Balloons off the Lion as they were going to be in the way of the monkey and drew some lines with my Copic Fine Liner to the edge of the card, so they look like they are blowing in the wind. The pink cards stock is from Papermania!

Please check out the Design Teams blogs and see what cards they have created, we also have Erin with us again this week. So remember to check out her fab card too and leave her some love on her last week of designing with us!

Thank you for looking...

La-La Lands Weekly Wednesday Challenge 2!!

I can not believe how fast the past week has gone and we are onto challenge number 2 over at La-La-La Land Crafts...

This week the very talented and kind Lisa is in charge! Lisa has set us the task of adding Stitching to our cards be it faux or real!!

Not having a sewing machine, I decided to do it all by HAND!! and boy were they sore afterwards!
I think I am going to have to invest in a sewing machine - so if any of you use one, please, pretty please, leave me a comment and let me know what ones you use!! Would be greatly appreciated!

I've used little Rosie sitting with her Cat called Rain! I have followed a fabulous sketch from Friday Sketchers which was designed by Carole - go check it out, you still have time to enter!!
Papers are My Minds Eye and are the Bloom and Grow Collection in 6x6. I have coloured Rosie and Rain with my copics and used a new type of gel pen for highlighting which is so smooth, I don't feel like throwing it out of the window. Then finally Spritzed with some glimmer mist.

I have hand stitched all the bits you see stitched and then added some buttons for the elements on the sketch.
Please come and join us at La-La Land Crafts for our Second Challenge! We'd all love to see what you come up with, and remember, you don't have to have a Lala, Rosie or one of the Animal stamps to play :D if you do have one, that would be a bonus! Also - go visit the DT and my fellow Guest Designers and see what they too have come up with for this fab challenge!

The prize again this week is a fabulous 25% off in store to the winner :D and of course a lovely top three blinkie for your side bar should your card be selected

Good Luck Y

Egbert meets ABC Challenge!!

Y Hello friends Y

I've been a bad blogger of late and not made many cards or been and hopped to you all, so I am deeply sorry for being absent... I'm hoping that after Thursday/Friday (my little Poppy's first birthday celebrations) I can get back to my favorite hobby!

I've created this card for Bearly Mine Designs! Donna has released a new set of papers which can be sent via e-Mail. I couldn't resist them, so I bought them this morning.

Here we have the new Country Collection Mini Set of Digital Papers. For £5 you get 56 papers, 11 inserts, 2 sheets of gorgeous tags in small and large, 4 sheets of flowers, 2 sheets of ticket greetings and 1 sheet of corners to cut out and stick on your cards! The best thing about the set, excluding the price which is fabulous, is they all match perfectly together!!

I've used some of the papers and an insert for the middle. The Mushroom House is from Bearly Mine Designs too and is a Digi Stamp and available to buy here... Also - a little while back, Donna also sold some Stamps of Elves. I had to buy them cos they are so cute!

The stamp used is Egbert!

If you want some light reading, you can find him and his friends here!

I've entered this card for the ABC challenge which is now on the letter B - and this week, B is for Buttons :D
I used my Copics to colour Egbert, and my Prisma Colours to colour the Mushroom House!

Thanks for popping by, hopefully I will come see you very soon :D

Stampin' for the Weekend Week 12 - DT card!

Welcome to week 12 for Stampin' for the Weekend!
This post has been schedueld as I am in London for a couple of days - I hope its worked !
The team have come up with some beautiful designs, inc our Guest Designer - Erin - so please pay them all a visit and leave them some love too :D

Our sponsor this week is Windrush Cards & Crafts.
Alison is offering a cute Happy Hoppers Stamp, called "The Spot Light"

Isn't he cute! Wish I could do that to keep warm on chilly evenings! :D

This week we are going for a colour combo and the colours are Pink and Grey!

I was a little nervous at first because I didnt want to mess things up so, I decided to keep it nice and simple and have only used Papermania Textured Card stock for my colours.

I inked up this little girl 'Daisy' from Sugar Nellie and coloured her first with Copics. From that I started playing around with shapes on the card. What you see above is what I came up with.

I do hope you like it :D

A little close up of Daisy.
The flower was punched with my Retro Flower Punches and the roses were from my stash. The charm on the chain was from my shop and the sentiment is a Papermania one!

Thank you for stopping by my little corner of Blog land

La-La Lands Weekly Wednesday Challenge!!

Hello and welcome to La-La Land Crafts first ever challenge
"FLOWER POWER"!!
Ooooo it's all exciting.

I've been dying to play with these stamps and inbetween clearing out the lounge, looking after Poppy and organising a party for next Friday (Poppy's 1st Birthday) I had to make some time and sit down and make a card for Jane's challenge. Yup, thats right, the lovely and very talented Jane has come up with this weeks challenge. I'm not normally a girly girl and after seeing Jane's title 'Flower Power', I did panic a little. I use flowers on my cards, but not many - But hey - Its Lala and if she wants flowers, she will have them :D

Here I have used Fairy Lala and coloured her with Copics

"I will take you to the sky with my wand and my wings,
we will dream of purple lollipops and other sweet things"

She is so adorable - this is one of my favorite stamps in the Lala collection, you can find Fairy Lala here and all the other Lala's, Rosies and Animals here too!

I have used the papers from my Guest Designer Package that Irina kindly sent along with my Stamps. I'm sorry I dont know who it is by. It was double sided, one side had the fabulous glittered stripes and the other side had the flowers which Lala is backed onto, and the punched flowers.

I used the Cuttlebug to cut out the Circles and the Scalloped Circles. I love this effect. I didnt want to mount Lala using foam pads so I got out my Acetate andcbut a strip off. I then looped it double sided stickied it together then stuck it on the centre of the card. I carefully placed Lala ontop (and she looks fairly centred :D yey). The flowers are from my Retro Punch, brads from stash. OOoo I nearly forgot to mention, I glittered her wings and her wand with Glamour Dust then added a little star charm on the top right corner flower... (Thank you Amy for my pretty charm)!

Well I guess thats all I have to say about my card. Have you been and seen all the other cards the team have made? Including the guest designers!?!? (I think everyone has had their packages so you should see a fab collection of Lala and her friends),

If you've recieved yours, head on over and join in with us !! But don't worry - if you don't have a Lala stamp - you can still play :D

The winner will receive a huge 25% off in store :D
Can you imaging the savings to buy more stamps with hehe!!
AND
Everyone who enters will be put into a draw for a FREE Window Lala! How cool is that.
She is so pretty and dreamy!

Have fun, and Happy Crafting
Y
I am away in London for a few days tomorrow (Thurs) , so I wont be around to answer any emails or go blog hopping, so I will see you all on Sunday :D

Whoop Whoop - Look what's arrived :D

They came yesterday morning. Its my Guest Designer package of Rosie with Book and Rosie with Cat, and a selection of lovely crafty pieces from Irina :D (Thank you xx) And the stamps at the bottom are the ones I have bought. I am also waiting on two of the animal ones and they should be shipped out to me around the 24th as they are currently on pre-order :D I am sooooo excited!

I'm not quite sure which one is my favorite, I guess I have to colour them all in first :D

Before I go...
From this coming Wednesday (19th), La-La Land Crafts blog are going to be hosting La-La's Weekly Wednesday Challenge. I hope you stop by to see the Design Team and Guest Designers creations, and if you can play along - that would be great :D

Right then, I am off to play :D

Happy Crafting!!

First Ever Bearly Mine Blog Hop!!

Hi there, you on the Bearly Mine Designs Blog Hop are you?
Oh, you say you just came here from your Dashboard, sorry, what was that? you just happened to stumble by here? Ah, right, I see... Well if you'd like to go back to Donna's blog and start from there, you'll get to see some cracking cards by my teamies, including Donna herself! However, if you got here from Nicola's Blog, you're on the right track ...

Today the Bearly Mine Design Team are showcasing Papers and Inserts from Donna's newest release - Designer Extreme Vol. III :D This disc is jam packed with papers for all occasions including Christmas, Easter, Valentines not to mention every day occasions such as floral, vintage, spots and stripes (I cant list em all but there are lots!!).

I'm hoping you have so far enjoyed the hop, there are a couple more teamies to see and lots more cards!

Speaking of cards, I've made four with the papers that Donna sent us all prior to release. Once I got my disc I added inserts to some of them :D

Here I have created a lovely Christmas card in traditional colours. Using Herb from the WoJ Winter collection, a tree charm and a SeeDs greeting stamp I think it looks pretty nifty! The Insert is fab, and matches the paper I used on the front of the card :D

Here we have a lovely summery card with the lovely Sarah Kay sprinkling some love :D I love the flower paper with the green, orange, reds and blues - its such a pretty design. I also LOVE this insert! I think the little butterfly and the bow are lovely and the design is so simple and versatile :D Image coloured with PrismaColours.

I created this next card for my Nephew who will be One in November (He is a Leo). This is another WoJ image from the new Animals Collection. I used a blue and brown spotted back ground and a lovely squared light blue one for contrast. I carried this blue squared one inside, you cant see it but it has a nestie in the centre ready for a message. I think I will have a play with this card and add a Number 1 somewhere, and also try and fit his name in too! Image coloured with Prisma Colours.

Its my last card, and nearly time for you to leave :(
I know its only August, but October will soon be here! I asked Donna if I could have some Halloween papers so I could have a play with colours I wouldn't normally use. These papers are so bright and so fitting for Halloween. I love the ghost insert. I used little Tilda for this card and coloured her in purple with my Copics. The sentiment, web, spider and the little ghostie in the corner of the insert are from Penny Black.

I've really enjoyed making these cards. The best thing about having Donna's Discs is you can precolour your images and then find perfect backing papers for them. It also means that you have lots of colours to chose from and if your stuck for ideas on colouring your images you can choose your papers in advance and match your images to them!

Right - enough of my banter - off you go to Marcea as she is next on the HOP! Don't forget to leave comments on every ones blogs, I'm sure you've already read, but Donna is offering up some lovely candies :D

Donna is having a SALE for this weekend only - So be sure you visit the Bearly Mine Designs Creations to see what offers there are!

Thank you for hoppin by Y

Just Magnolia Meets Friday Sketchers :D

OOooo I couldn't resist making a card for Just Magnolia and I found this brilliant sketch over at Friday Sketchers!! So I had to get our my papers and stash and off I went :D

Just Magnolia have the theme this week of Friendship - so anything you'd send a friend is ok by them (so long as you use a Magnolia Stamp!). I was a little put off by the Sketch at first because I didnt know what to do with it, but I started looking at my papers, and card, and then coloured little Tilda and this is the result of my little journey tonight. Its gone 1am, and I just didnt want to leave it til morning. What am I like haha!

This little Magnolias I got from my lovely DT buddie Vicki (Thank you sweetie :D )
I coloured her with Copics and highlighted her with Inkssentials pen.

The flowers are also a little pressie from Vicki :D I'd never used Prima flowers before and after being sent some by Vicki and my good friend Donna, I think I may have to buy some (Ok LOTS haha)

Here is a little close up of this cute little Tilda. She is so sweet.
These buttons I found in my stash draw and thought they'd be perfect for this card.
Charm and chain from my shop.
Ribbons are Baby Boom and I think you can find them here at Dot Com Gift Shop, however I bought them at a local shop. Leaves are from my L-em ash branch punch. Sentiment from Whiff of Joy
Papers are Papermania - Blueberry Hill and the Textured card stock is also from Papermania!

Thanks for popping by :D
