Stampin' for the Weekend ~ Dusk to Dawn - Challenge 1

Hello everyone and welcome, for today is the day that STAMPIN' FOR THE WEEKEND is Launched! We have all been working hard thinking up challenges and creating a little inspiration for you all.
.
To get things kick started, and to give a little something back to the blogging world, Donna and myself have put together a Launch Candy for the winner of this challenge! We hope you can take part and spread the word of our fab new Challenge Blog - Stampin' for the Weekend!
.
I hope you find lots of inspiration from the Stampin' Teams fabulous creations over at Stampin' for the Weekend this week, go and have a look at thier fab blogs and see how they came up with there cards for this weeks challenge. Links are in my side bar, or on the challenge blog :o).
.
We have said from the beginning that we are going to get your creative juices flowing and get you thinking out side of the box. We will of course have some of the golden oldies, like the sketches and 'normal(ish)' cards hehe...
.
~ So lets get down to business ~

For this week, we'd like you to use the colour combination of Purple and Yellow (Dusk to Dawn)... here's my take on it -

Here I have used this cute Hangler Stangler image I received in a mixed swap a little while ago, I think he is so cute! I coloured him with my Copic Ciao's and highlighted him with my Inkssentials Opaque pen. I cut him out using my Scalloped Square Nestie, I placed another square nestie cut shape the same size and just made a 'shadow' with it. The image looked a little sqewiffed so I cut a triangle out and used it on the opposite corner.

The papers are all from Bearly Mine Designs - Designer Extreme Vol I and II

Here's an up close picture of the Hangler Stangler, I'm not sure which Ink Pad was used, but it did Smudge a little, I hope its not too noticeable! :o)

I carried the image to the inside of my card as the lady I received them off had done stamped heads on all the full images she sent me too. So I coloured him again with Copics and blended the bottom purple with the blender pen to make it fade. I cut it out on the nesties again, and a larger one for the back ground.

As there was a gap at the side, I thought I'd have a play again with some Wire and Beads. So this is what I came up with.

I have purposefully left the card with out a sentiment as I'm not sure what occasion it could be used for, so I thought I'd leave it in my collection as a note card! That way I can write what ever message inside and accompany it with a letter of some kind!

Thank you for popping by and having a look at my card today, I hope you have fun coming up with one of your own.

Dont forget - you have to be in it, to win it and this week we have some fabulous candy for the winner of this challenge - Pictures are on the Stampin' for the Weekend blog !
